I completely agree BKD would have sharpened further. Just a suggestion I hope you will be able to introspect and help in further improvement for Archale and Navin.

The most simple method to determine the ranking of the tipsters is by assuming minimum tote bet as 10rs that is one ticket.

Now the tipsters are supposed to declare clear bet on the given selection/selections that is if you have given a favourite as second horse pool and it finished second then you have cleared the bet but if it wins or place then you lost 10rs.

Similarly if you have given longer odds 10/1 and mention as win but it finishes second/third then you lost 10rs . Instead let the tipster mention as each way , hence 30rs investment.

We can mention jodi bet for a race , if both fails then it is minus 20rs.

If somebody has given three choices and not mention clear bet on the selection then by default the first choice of the tipster will be considered win. There shall be no partiality. 

For example, Navin has not considered Thunderstrike and Anushree post which was posted before the first race but few days back they have considered Trackeagle selections when it was not even posted on the thread . 

They have ignored Like Sun and Bang on , but etc but considered Trackeagle.

It's clearly evident this report will not continue after the end of this season. Because somebody is trying to highlight somebody.

Cleared bet tote value - investment (in terms of 10rs) = +/- points. 

We can clearly rank tipsters based on this. 

Also if somebody is interested to rank tipsters based on forecast , quinella and tanala. Just take a box of the multiple selections. Like three choice tanala would be of 60rs .

If you want to conduct PTR contest , then maximum wallet money should be 50,000rs and investment of 1000rs should be the limit per race.  And many other regulations if you and others want to add . It's not feasible to imagine every punter will have more than one lakh for season.

After seeing exchange of posts,I feel any ranking without reference to Returns is only of academic interest.

Let us take  a clue from from Shri SK Sagar's Contests.The beauty of those Contests is pre fixed predictions and pre fixed amount of bets with returns computed from Tote Dividend 

To implement here let there be  3 bets on each tipped horse like Win,Shp and Place of One Unit each. So investment is Rs 30 per horse nominated.and only one horse per race.One can Tip for any number of races but only one horse per race.Individuals to post their returns.

Why 3 bets? There is nothing like a one horse races.So one's tipped horse may not Win every time so a Shp is added. As with Win ans Shp only one Dividend is there so add Place Dividend also because if tipped horse is Favourite then one Shp bet is taken out from Win Dividend so improve the Returns a Place Dividend comes in handy.

Request S/Shsri Acharle and Navin to think about it to make the reports more interesting

Dear Rakesh, you mentioned that due to some eminent personalities punters life has been made easy. Now, you have named some 11or 12 tipsters and more. Let us take an example . On coming Saturday Kolkata races please indicate exactly whom you are going to follow and lets see the results..Even just for academic purposes .. If not one than how exactly you would be following some 5-10- 15 tipsters. Just for record. Not belittling any one but this methodology cannot understand.

Dear Rakesh you have misinterpreted my lines. I never mentioned against any tipster. Infact Acharle and Navin doing wonderful job. I know most of the tipsters do hardwork and put their choices. No ranking can be done with multiple choices.There should innovation and easy for the followers. I request Navin and Acharle to select only three races a day and ask all to post single selection for the same. Both these gentlemen have the prerogative to select the races. Every week they can post the winners. After all everybody advocating not to play all races two or three. This will be useful to the followers. If BKD is alive he would have sharpened further.

When we were studying in our school days we use to wait for our school report card many brilliant students were not worried because they have performed well .but for students like myself studied up till fourth standard were scolded for poor report card.

Thanks to acharale sir,Navin Pune sir we are back to school days at the age of sixty waiting for the results after every race at the end of the day we come to know we have passed or failed with rankings. Everyone in this forum is enjoying this.thank you sir.

I fully agree with you Ramiyer..no body is dependable..The FAILURE list over shadows the win and place Statics.

Also don't consider place as they are all first fav who would have lost and fetch no odds and are un backable.Some of the WIN..it was odds on line CLIFFIRD it helps only to state that it was predicted but no value.

All in all difficult to arrive at any conclusion....As some one already said..every tipster has his day that day. He clicks then fails next two days and average at 30 percentage success.

@Ramiyer I think if it's so than even books shall not be sold.... Because of tipster in horsetalk like Godzilla sir Ashok Mysore sir Govindrajan sir Ashaush sir Misthi thunderstike Sunil R Longrtodds Krishna Anushree Saidas sir n many more we punters are having easy life. 

Ramiyer no one is perfect n no one can give 100% success guarantee but this forum tipsters are giving approx 60-70% successful tips. So if you can't respect someone's hard work atleast don't be born to spoil...

Conclusion of the daily report  so far since one month are nobody is dependable even for 5 percent. Though better to study themself if instinct says play your own choices. I could see more failures in every tipster.  It doesn't matter. Where when and how to choose their winning horse nominated. Big question mark.

@ Kamaal Kapoor slightly disagree with your statement. You have categorised 2 types , sensible & Professional punters. Either of them will like to bet only if someone actually justifies why a particular horse is the one to bet on. Here everyone is just tipping!  So in a race of 7 horses if seven people tip all 7 horses,one of them has to win. So was it a justified tip??. Similarly in a race of say 8 horses if 3 horse are given with one favourite in them,what exactly are you going to play?? Can understand if there are 13 runners. Most importantly a member should justify his choice either due to handicap,or tracks or runs via a vis the other runners,than it makes sense. You tell me whether anyone here is better than any race books Cole,Bol,Vel and even IR. They have far better systems in place. They have their own track reporters etc. Just follow any of them . Your strike rate will b above 60% and with some really good outsiders(they have definite inside information,at least the professional books.). Just saying 'no one will catch my tail' does not provide any justification. 

No I'll feelings towards anyone. Just my thoughts which I have meaning to say fornsome time. Everyone is doing their bit to improve their understanding of races.

Where it's applicable I given due respect to all tipster.  

For me n many punters  who prefer playing with bookies, tipster with single tip options is always preferred in compare to tipster giving 3 options. That's why while rating tipster with multiple options I prefer to put them in tote formats. 

When a tipster who gives say 3  options it's obvious he has favourite n all ... Tell if his all 3 passes  but half money favourite in it fails than what rating will he get... Will he be considered better than one who have given 1horse tips....  But that half money favourite will be benefitted only in tote not in bookie section... So am I wrong in putting multiple choice tipster for Tote. 

Brother we are into horse racing for more than 25years but now we are  doing this because now horse racing is just not sports or so but  it's livelihood for more than 2lakhs  families in India. That's why I am doing this detailed survey so that my brothers when go to horse racing ground they through horse talk will be able to get best tips suggestions.

@Sri I don't think it's right way the way you saying. We all as punter knows that neither success or failure is permanent in this industry.  

Do you really believe that if 30paisa or so horse is tipped by any tipster it shows his lack of knowledge.... I think your thinking is wrong... You shall change it. 

Sensible punters will never go behind all races so if we getting advice from tipsters on all races than don't you think it's beneficial for punters because they can easily make choices.  

Professional punter will never  fully follow any tipster n play they just see guidelines  so it's always benefitted when we get tips for full card. 

Instead of taking negative in every aspect please try to see positivity also it will definitely help many of us n You also

I have highlighted this issue but I guess Mr Navin wants to declare winners based on his logic .

If you use the formula of Cleared Direct Bets, we can clearly see a winner.

Just check 18/3/2024 Delhi selections, Mr Navin said he would prefer first choice in three given choice, then forecast, quinella and tanala.

Tally Mishti and Thunderstrike selections as per Mr Navin's logic, you will clearly see who is winner. Many previous meetings, they have been doing this .

I request Thunderstrike and many others to focus on only one choice rather than three. The amount of hardwork needed to get those all three choices to be in top three and after that no acknowledgement for these tipsters, looks waste of time. Recently bashing Saidas , Godzilla for his failure and no praising for Anushree and Bang On shows no one is interested .

It's just my perspective, even if you get top tipsters award , is it worth with regards to miscalculations by Navin and his team. I know it's not an easy task but I have shared A formula for excel sheet. You can conduct the competition with no partiality.

Now days lot of working going on for Statistics, so the tipping style needs to change,to be rated as one of the best tipsyter now try to choose a runner which will atleast hit the board. Then even if its paying 30 paisa... the BOX of "TIP PASSED" will be ticked and you will figure amongst the prefered and best tipster.

Whetehr any one plays at that cramped odds is besides the point, the criteria is the "BOX that you predicted a runner which hit the board is importanr.

I dont know hpw any agree to this style but i feel its not the right method and is not worth it.
