Food For Thought

Friends

Yesterday  8 year old Juliette won the CN Wadia Gold cup odds 38paise

I really wonder with all the Ace jockeys we do not have a single younger 4 years or 5 years old Horse to defeat 8 year old Juliette???

Something wrong somewhere.

Not sure in Training the Horse or elsewhere.

Probablyi.  It could happen only in Indian Turf !!

Price money should not go to any other horse owner??  Betting wise zero only no one will be at a crumbled odds.

Seeking valuable opinion from our friends.

Regards

Even more interesting, intriguing and perplexing is that Juliette set 2400 mts record timings in Bangalore and Mumbai as a 7 year old (2023) and Kolkata as a 8 year old (2024).

This should be made known to all Racing Authorities and Aficionados, Pedigree experts, breeders etc the world over.. it will be a fitting tribute.

Juliette Sire Musketier (Ger), their connections will feel really proud, if they come to know about this.

Great to see your post, Is Ooty ring is good to bet lumpsum money?

Juliette is once-in-a-lifetime horse. Be glad you were aroumd to see her in action.

Please give credit where it is due. The way she slaughtered the field in the Invitation Cup and recently makes it obvious that there is no horse presently in the country who could hold a candle to her.

I only wish Mr Zavaray Poonawalla keeps her in racing until the next Invitation and does not send her abroad or retire her to the stud. That would be my fervent appeal to the Poonawallas.

Ayyarnet,

This happens only once in a blue moon, isn't it? Many combinations have appeared on the track to beat Juliette for a long time now but nothing is happening. If Juliette runs for one more year, it's likely that the mare may get beaten by some unknown rival. This happened to another great Elusive Pimpernel. However, let's celebrate Juliette's incredible success and only pray that this dream run continues unabated. Wish Juliette rewrites a few more records before finally retiring to the stud.  Incidentally, with Juliette available at 35/100, I saw a seasoned punter in Ooty betting on DYF, hoping that Juliette may get beaten. Then, I found him murmuring that he could have better played DYF at even money place against Jendayi and enjoyed Juliette's thumping win with the entire racecourse. All these happen in racing. The fact remains that Juliette is the best horse seen so far in Indian racing. It will take a very long time for someone else to come and take the wonder mare's place.
