Nishad@ yes I did Bet  on both horses WIN,SHP,THP  Rs 30 each  on betindiarace portal Win got  Rs 243 and SHP got Rs 39 unfortunately TDS will be dedcted by the portal I will be soon posting detailed pedigree analysis for everyone. Dam Sir Jukebos Jury of first Dam Aspen Sun is key ancestor as per my Pedigree analysis. Place I was 100 % sure. Fortunetaly for the Trainer and Connection risk they took in sending the horse gave them the chance win. Astrologically 4.15 pm race time was favourite to win fortunetely race started at 4.28.17  PM Hours . 13 minutes delay ensured luck factor for them. As usual plenyty of negative comments on this post for sure. Instead of place bet I normally use all first 3 place bets which gives more better payout. If All turf clubs use Hong Kong Race Model betting will benefit small punters. I did miss forecast and quinela I had bet Rs 20 each with Suraj Narredu mount 10-1 and 10-9.  Forecast and Quinela 1-9 would have given me good payout.

Nearly 35 years back, Lucky Shrike ( trained by Z. Darashaw) ridden by Warren Singh was an even money favorite and moral certainty in Deccan Derby. 

Lucky Shrike was a Bangalore Colt Trial stakes winner ( by 8 L) and was also Mysore Colts Trial Stakes winner. His staying prowess was also not in doubt as he had finished 3 rd in a 3 way photo finish in Bangalore Summer Derby behind Treasure Girl and Nine Carat. 

       Alas, Lucky Shrike finished a tame third in the Deccan Derby. The victor was another Bangalore Horse Sunny Blossom trained by Sydney Moses. Son of Scintillating Air, he had no pedegree to speak of.! As the later events prove, he was not much of a horse, as he failed to win even a Class 1 handicap race. !! 

   Having backed Lucky Shrike heavily, I came to a decision on that October 2. Derbies are for Owners, Jockies, and Clubs! . Punters should stay out of it.!!Discuss if you want, till the cows come home , but select a proper race for betting, even if it is Class 3 or Class 4 race. The decision has saved me tons of money, including that today!!!

On class, form, and bloodline, Excellent Lass stands tall. The only danger to her is the long Hyderabad stretch. If Suraj opens up early, then she could be caught napping in the final 50 meters of the race.

Excellent Lass is in top form and should win convincingly , Place chance, I would prefer Victor Hugo, and Arkadian is better than seeking Alpha. As usual, top jockeys Trevor Patel, Akshay Kumar, and Sandesh can not be ignored. for combination tickets. i am keenly watching the Elfin Knight performance with Sandesh on board, but winning looks difficult.

For me it's Victor Hugo. Excellent lass is a class but again thr new ground and back to back races makes some doubt. Victor Hugo was dead last and came 4th behind Santassimo where Excellent Lass finished 2nd. But there was artist on Excellent lass and Victor Hugo rider was Alex Lazario who took inside railing in last 300 mtr which is very bad and didn't showed the day light to the horse. Now Antony is riding and Hyderabad straight will suit the running style of Victor Hugo. Hard rider like Antony can change the game and emerge victorious against Excellent Lass and followed by Elfin Knight

Not disputing the overall supremacy of Excellent Lass, the local horses stand much better chance of occupying the 2nd, 3rd slots than the  outstationc challengers.

Sure, Secret Saint and King Immortal finished 11/12 lengths behind African Gold, but, with AG a distance away, I'm sure the rest were a disinterested lot, and both, horses and jockeys might have taken time out for a stifling yawn, probably a second gone there, that's 6 lengths knocked off, well, just hypothetical thinking, but worth a thought. Moreover, comparing timings over two days, and that too, over a longer distance, where timing depends on the pace, I guess that's not the right thing, at least I feel that way. Anyways, for me, it's strictly between Secret Saint and King Immortal, and the only reason I'm strong on both of them is that they're both local challengers, have a feel of the track, whereas for Excellent Lass it's an alien track, no tracks visible on IR, at least uptil now, I guess EL has a tall task ahead of her, probably because of the connection's over confidence. Secret Saintnis my first choice purely based on jockey. 

After having a re look and seeing the bunch EXCELLENT LASS WILL WIN BY MINIMUM 5 LENGTHS

Red Cocked was 30 Paisa, rest all 30/1 and above for  the Bangalore summer derby. Still I remember the Hindu head lines about the result.Red Cocked was  beaten to by Comanche. Not Comanche as winner.

The 2000 mtrs.trip was beyond Red Cocked's stamina and just failed.

Look at combination of owner & trainer & decide why should this horse would lose this race. I noticed some seniors in this forum misleading punters. Don't break your head. I would expect the best horse will win this set& thank you.... 

Why is no one talking about Duke of Tuscany? He will be piloted by P Trevor. He has stayers' pedigree and can definitely place over this distance.

AFRICAN GOLD win in 1.40.1 (11) lengths behind was SS.So practically SS clicked close to 1.43.Previous day NRI ULTR a class A donkey at Hyderabad won a mile in 1.42.

IF SS wins well ?? It may not even run second i feel

Why not Secret Saint and local Champion Akshay Kumar? If Excellent Lass wins all Classics, what about others who spend thru their noses on horses.

Sometimes great horses visit for the sake of taking care of interest of bookies too.If Excellent Lass wins ,let it be, don't run after it at cramped odds, as if there is no tomorrow. You will puncture your noses.

Excellent lass suraj

Ex lass will win easily, I suggest don't waste time doing a lot of research on derby race, rather I advise you to focus on other races. For Ex - In 7th race NRI Double power can make amends. Trust me this horse will win, just blindly wage on place bet, and play win if your pocket allows you to. 

11 left at acceptance stage, and all four I've mentioned are in, thought I'd add one more to my list for further studies, that's Dapper Look, but Kuldeep astride makes me stick to my choice of the initial four. 

Someone mentioned a negative point about E Lass, that of lack of rest after a travel, and I agree with that. An outstation challenger, not well prepared at the centre, that's a matter of concern. Also, this person mentioned being strong on Seeking Alpha, well, the company he ran in was quite ordinary, an average field rating of just about 35, haven't seen someone winning in such company winning the Derby. 

Looking at choice of jockeys, and being a local challenger, I feel Akshay should win on SECRET SAINT, yes, I know he lost by 11 lengths to African Gold, but then, that was African Gold, winner of four back to back races, so 11 lengths ain't much of a margin if checked based on competition ran with. 

Some  are talking of Victor Hugo or Seeking Alpha but I fail to understand that these horses have taken multiple runs to come out of maidan ranks and some have not even won any race, and some have won a low class 4 race,how could they win against a class horse like Excellent Lass who has matured as a runner and run amongst the best of her age?

While there are exceptions to negative indicators, the reality remains that "negative" typically signifies a disadvantage. EXCELLENT LASS is set to travel from Mysore to Hyderabad with just a 11-day gap between races. Colts and geldings generally handle the stress of travel and short rest better than fillies do. A filly, like EXCELLENT LASS, requires adequate recovery before competing in a challenging field.

On the other hand, SEEKING ALPHA has shown significant improvement and is definitely the one to watch. Regardless of the outcome, I expect SEEKING ALPHA to finish in the money.

My first choice 10(Excellent Lass) and very very closely followed by 9( Victor Hugo)..
