Can it be one more derby for the evergreen Ashok Ranpise? I personally would love to see him win this one as well as he is such a passionate horse lover. Lets see if Pleasant star or Global Influence can do the magic as both are aptly named.

Delhi derby day race card looks to be very tricky as such picking up the clear winner is Hazardous. Race time odds only should indicate the winner which usually happens at Delhi race centre. However I go with superiority based on last run and timing. But don't risk with huge betting.

1 race:2.Bahadur, 6.Robust & 7.Gama wave must be the frontline contenders of which first named has edge to win the race. The later two may fight for minor placings.

My choice:2.Bahadur -win 

2 race:class 1 race,a small field of 6 horses, a fight is expected between 3.Tantalising star & 6.She's a beauty former having the slight edge to win the race while later who is running at feather weight has a chance to upset.

3 race:4y and upwards are in the field and the only 4y old 1.Yakutsk has a chance to win here.

First named  after coming from Mumbai twice winner in two consecutive runs in lower class, now on promotion, second named ran 2nd in class 1, now one class down, 3rd named after winning in class 3 running on promotion to class 2. Very clumsy race. I personally prefer 3.Rinku romeo will take a chance to win. The first named & 3rd named may fight for minor placings.

5 race:Most of the runners are met with each other in some or the other group races. 6 horses are from same leading trainer S Nawab. Very tricky one. Tough to pick a clear winner.  I feel 3.Ashwa yudhveer & 9. Ashwa morraco are closely matched on timing. Former may oblige

6 race:Out stationed horses obviously dominate. Top rated and jockey Suraj narredu saddled 2.Global influence is an universal choice for derby but I feel Warren singh trained 1.Bestindentification may surprise this classic event of the sesson. I take an each way chance on it.

7 race:1,5,6,11 might be the frontline contenders. 5.Personal is pretty consistent in this season has a chance but 6.Jet sukhoi who is running on demotion may upset here.

Race 6= THE PANTHER(10) Trevor Patel won't disappoint punters be sure he will give everything to win this race. PERSIAN ROCK(5) WIll follow him for place.

I’m absolutely pumped for the Delhi Derby card today. It promises to be an exciting mix of fan favorites and potential upsets. The track conditions are perfect, and with 13 horses in the mix, it's going to be a race full of surprises. Personally, I would prefer a maximum of 10 horses to be aligned on this ground. The unique layout of the winning post here is narrower compared to other centers, which could lead to some interesting scenarios. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few horses get tangled up during the race due to various reasons—after all, anything can happen in the heat of the moment.

One thing that’s caught me off guard is the removal of Bharat, trainer Prasanna Kumar's horse, from the North India Derby. The horse was in top form and had a genuine shot at victory. I can’t help but wonder about the reasoning behind this decision.

On a different note, Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh Chauhan’s horses are dominating the scene here. He’s a major figure in the center and can easily turn the tables at any point.

What also piques my interest is Mr. Ashok Ranpise’s involvement. He has a strong track record with horses that have claimed victories in major races across the country—Indian Derby, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and more recently, the Invitation Cup at Madras. He’s definitely proven himself at the highest levels. The question now is: Does he have a chance again here in the Derby? With his two entries, Global Influence (2) and Pleasant Star(6), he could very well pull off another big win, despite both horses not being at the top of the handicap range. Global Influence (2), bred by the Poonawalla family, stands out with its strong connections under Zymakhanna’s guidance, who has dominated Delhi racing for years.

Now, here are my picks for today’s Derby:

Race1: Milli (10) – Win

Race 2: Ashwa Manslu (5) – Good place, with top 2 horses likely to be place contenders

Race 3: Bhujang (7) – Should be on the board, place value over 1.5 is worth a try & Golden Sun (5) – Can surprise at decent odds

Race 4: Ashwa Kutang (2) – Place value

Race 5: Ashwa Tokyo (10) – Win

Race 6: Star of Night (13), trained by R H Sequeira, personally looks much stronger than the others for this hard ground. If the odds are greater than 4, I believe it should win the race under jockey Antony Raj S. in the saddle. However, the local horse Ode to Nature (4) has a good chance of placing. If my calculations don’t align with yours, it’s better to skip the bet and just enjoy watching the Derby.

Race 7: Master Stoute (7) – Place value if odds > 2
