The failure of Big Bay and Bishop (From Fynbos' line) on Saturday has made me have doubts about Fynbos. Out of Red Bishop, Sovereign King, and Stormy Sea I knock off the last one because I don't think Parmar has the temperament to win a Derby, and somewhat feel that even the remaining two might get beat, and I guess ELYSIUM is the one who can cause a flutter. Earlier felt that the Derby was Pesi's this year, but now, with a doubt over Fynbos, due to above observation as regards Saturday's performance of Big Bay and Bishop, feel that it's a tricky one. I guess I'll be taking a chance on Elysium.

 In 2015 Angel dust (Win legend(jpn)/Angelique) Rated 50 won the derby @30/1, trained by Attaollahi and owned by Vijay mallaya. Angel dust had 3 runs before competing in the derby. She broke the maiden ranks in its 2nd outing over 1400m with suraj astride. The next run was in 1600m  and she did not figure on board.

Elysium is following a similar pattern with 2 runs before derby.  Last run in 1400m won by a dist. Rated 50

Only horse that can beat Fynbos is Stormy Sea if he can get behind her from his outside draw and shadow her till after the bend - he has the stayiing pedigree and turn of foot to run her down in the end. All other horses will not stay the distance  - it's Fynbos versus Stormy Sea if other horses don't get in their way. These two will dominate the rest of the classics as they continue to develop - I think the colt will naturally and eventually end up being stronger in the end as they both become adults.

BTW if you look at the colts championship Sovereign King  does not run down Stormy Sea if he was not interfered with at 500 meters which cost him a couple of strides. Stormy had everyone beat at 500 meters... that was a well ridden race against milers, just bad luck but now the milers like Sovereign King won't last the extra distancez Fynbos and Stormy neck to neck in the straight. Maybe Trevor makes the difference.

As per Dosage profile runners with dominent classicity have good chance to perform in Graded Races from the 16 runners following six horses have Dominent classicity in their dosage profile.

I am only giving pointers as per Dosage system as promoted by Dr Steve Roman.

As per my analysis Sovereign King will have distance limitation and best for 1600 meters Walking Thunder has not performed but as per me can be placed and keenly watching the performance in this race.

Some have opined that this Derby is hard to crack, however I beg to differ. Pesi will lift the trophy, for sure, it's that simple, the rest of the runners do not inspire confidence.

Red Bishop has excellent numbers for long distance races, however, hasn't yet lived up to those figures, should have won a few more races than what he has. On the other hand, Fynbos has truly lived upto expectations up until now. 2nd Foal of Mahali, the 1st being Zuccarro, is the one they all have to beat.

Pesi has a pace setter in Matisse, and the remaining two, Red Bishop and Fynbos would be ridden as per instructions, as to who has been given the green signal, so even though I'm quite strong on Fynbos, just because Pesi and the connections would ultimately decide who they're going with, am a bit wary of Red Bishop.

Profofeiv, in his last Race the Jockey ( Mukesh kumar)had lost his whip at the crucial stages of the race. 

Still he had performed better. Now with Suraj on top of Prokofeiv,  The poonawalas have the chances thru Prasanna kumar.

Suraj on board Prokofiev will win if trend is for Favourite to win but if it is an upset then Both Mukesh Kumar and NS Parmar have very good chance to upset. Gunsmoke 77 lakhs purchase in Poonawala sale will justify by winning this race the price paid by owners. My personal choice is Stormy Seas to upset.

In my personal opinion all the first 6 horses Placed in Bangalore Derby should be exported and tried in UAE or Saudi or Bahrain or Qatar. Indian Breeding is well developed and should shine abroad for sure.

Hi friends this race is only for fynbos its a worderful bread filly and no doubt it will hack the field easlily 

As one can see Elysium has been accepted in derby instead running the horse in coromondal gramor million on saturday, which the horse could have won without raising a sweat.

Elysium was impressive in last run, where he just detonated the weak opponents also tracking extremely good.

Is the owner so confident of Elysium beating derby field which consists Fynobs, Soverign King and rest, for me Elysium is definate win/place proposition.

It will be RED BISHOP....

After the last race... COLT CHAMPIONSHIP... It's SANDESH who is tracking the horse (4 Times).... Needless to say the trip of 2000 metres will not be a problem for him..... 

In the last race finished a game 3rd....
