A decent day at the office in Pune, time to shift gears to Malakpet.

I am trying a different strategy tomorrow and focusing on a few each way bets only 90% place and 10% win. I will be happy if they are quoted at odds of least 10 to 8 on in place. 

3-2 Top In Class Place 

Was ridden in check by Mukesh, probably a lung opener to test his fitness. Horse was full of running under a soft ride and now with the change of shoe from steel to aluminium, good barrier and Mukesh declared to ride once again,  should hit the board in a mighty competitive race. 

5-1 Rolls Royce Place 

A no-whip contest over the 6 pole. Ran a similar race last time out when attempted runaway tactics. The 5kg claimer enhances his chances of hitting the board once again. The draw  1 is a big advantage. Expect him to jump out and cruise into the straight and hopefully hang on for a place.

6-1 High Command Place

Once again a match race between High Command, Siddharth and Star of Knight who clashed about a fortnight ago albeit in a shorter distance. I believe the race would be restricted to High Command and Siddharth who seem to relish longer trips. High Command seems a vastly improved horse as compared to last season and should make a race of it even with the heavy impost.

7-3 Calabasas Win

Akshay Kumar seems to learning the ropes of riding without a whip and has notched up a few victories already. Calabasas was not disgraced in season opener last week over 1400 and this trip seems to be much up her alley. Expect Akshay to race her up with the group and give her every chance up the long Malakpet straight.

The joker in the pack would obviously be the Satheesh trained Misty Night who could make a race of it considering that she possesses blinding speed. The only question mark is the intentions of the camp.

1-5 SHARANGA - By Dali. Just three runs so far 3-4-3 Running first time this season, booking of Aksahy is positive. 6 STATE MAN recent run doesnt look that impressive to me. Therefore Sharanga for me.

2-7 SILVER ARROW - This is a lowest cat race. Still a maiden after 16 starts, last run over 1100m is a lung opener. Now the distance of 1600m will suit. Previously ran a decent 3rd over 1800m. P Sai Kumar is retained to ride.

3-5 STAR MEDAL - Ran a good 2nd recently over 1200m with Abhay Singh who is retained to ride. Last run in strong bunch with young horses. Now going over 1400m with 5yr old+ is definitely an advantage.

4-7 LIFES JOURNEY - Recent run over 1400m in a no whip race 2nd to 3 GLORIA. Now going up in class and with a huge weight advantage, will reverse the placing with Gloria. Gaurav Singh is retained to ride who rode him to victory over 1600m last season. This can be DAYS BEST bet.

5-1 ROLLS ROYCE - Recently ran a good 3rd in a no whip race with RS Jodha carrying 58Kg. Now again a no whip race and over the same distance with an apprentice on board is an advantage. Might go again start to finish winning.

6-3 NRI SUPERPOWER - By Winlegend. Recent run a very good 3rd over 1400m. Now going over 1800m will suit and jockey Varun in the saddle again. 5 STAR OF NIGHT who was a winner over 1400m might not go well over the longer trip of 1800m.

7-6 MISTY NIGHT - Ran a forward race recently over 1400m with Jodha RS who is taking the ride again over a shorter distance of 1200m and a no whip race. Might go start to finish.

RACE 1 : Hrs no 5 ( *SHARANGA*) well bred speedy customer ran on same pace to finish 3rd last outing over same trip, now looking much improved, positive switch in saddle now, if in galloping mood can clear his maiden tag today. 

RACE 2 : Hrs no 2 ( *MUASER*) ran 5th to JUST INCREDIBLE over same trip in higher class in past, now dropped down in class, retains form, try rider engaged on top again, should run a forward race today.

RACE 3 : Hrs no 1 ( *NOBAL HEART*) C&D winner in past in same class, looks in good form now, working jockey gets the mount, has got good chance to put up a winning gallop if ridden well today.

Hrs no 6 ( *BLUE PANTHERESS*) runs with an upset chance, keep an eye. 

RACE 4 : Hrs no 3 ( *GLORIA*) currently in good form chasing hatrick, impressive victory last run over C&D in same class, retains form with same combo is repeating again, can defy penalty and put up another winning gallop today. 

RACE 5 : Hrs no 4 ( *MYSTICAL DAWN*) coming after a layoff ran on 4th last run over 7 furlongs, now much improved as worked well in morning trackwork, should run a forward race in this cut down trip in a no whip race today.
