Raghavan sir was a perfect gentleman.... He calls spade a spade .... He advises correctly and also he will be the first one to appreciate someone's good tips. Miss you sir......

God bless his soul. An upright, honest, and blunt person, who took pains to call out tall claims of winnings at the race course. Always had a piece of advice for everyone backed by sincere and good intent. Hard hitting truth about racing issues he spelt out, but never with malice towards anyone. A few called him names and what not, countered them with facts and figures to expose and blunt the malicious attacks.

Horse Talk, lost a stalwart and an excellent communicator, who kept this forum alive and thriving.

My prayers for his soul!

A man of rare wisdom and warmth, he never raised his voice, never let you down — even when you disagreed with him or criticized him, his responses were always calm, composed, and full of grace. That’s the mark of a truly great person.

He taught us more than just racing and investment — he taught us humility, patience, and balance. His words carried weight not because they were loud, but because they came from a place of deep understanding and genuine care.

A philosopher, a friend, and a guiding light — Raghavan Ji is still remembered and missed by so many punters on this forum, straight from the heart.

We feel the void every day.

Here I would like to recollect that Shri Raghavan sir and SSPP were great friends and they share their views in HT often benefiting various punters. I am a great fan of these two legends and admire their writeups. 

       Unfortunately Raghavanji has attained the abode of God after met with an accident while SSPP has give up racung after experiencing some nitter experiances in punting .

        Without these two stalwarts the HT has lost its old charm.considerably.

Dear Godzilla ji

Thank you for remembering . Ever since the advent of GST i slowly cut down racing to 90 percent. Every centre is struggling to  fill six races in a day that too on week ends. Presently not at all having any interest in racing though playing pune and chennai centres only. That through by whatsup bookie  with half taxe or  sometimes no tax.

Really wondering some people in ht are playing laks and laks in a single race when the connections decides the result in last miniute. Example Noble heart and Espionage wins . Last time both were out as favourites. 

Iam an ardent fan of  football and tennis. I used to watch Brazilian American Argentines football club matches and bet at online. 

Yesterdays first race Dalus champion win. Previous runs all board out .Got backed heavily and won like a champion. Sad story continues. If Raghavan sir is alive he would have fired arrows to the petti bettors with advice and theory. Salute to S.K for keeping all vetetens who left us  in his memory. Like vamananan sir Dr cheenu.Sreekanth etc .

Really really miss you sir if you had  been alive how much write up ugainst gst would have been there sorry we  all miss you

 Raghavan sir  comes to memory whenever somebody claims about betting in lacks.Even if it's true, they will vanish in no time.Raghvan sir used to advocate about moderation in betting to continue in this sport.We are missing a understanding and a nice gentleman in this column.

He must be enjoying in Heaven with the blessings of so many punters always blessed him every day .A good soul very rare to be found .My prayers for the family who have raised such a nice person. 

Thanks S.K for remembering Raghavan sir. His ultimate demise really shocked  us all. Got an oppurtunity twice to meet him .He was a very good listener to youth as well. Anything under the sun you ask he had a solid reply. I imagined if he were alive how many write ups he might have put regarding GST.

If you discontinued Racing, then it's good enough. No one can earn in Racing. It's a myth.

 Iife is so unpredictable. I admire him a lot. He was true lover of the sport and so respectful for everyone unlike some of egoistic personalities on this forum. I hope he is enjoying his time in heaven.

Agreed. "Professor" Raghavan is much remembered by myself.

I still recall the 100 plus comments thread back and forth battle between himself and some chap calling himself "Chanakya".on Racing Pulse.

His favourite phrases quoting from the Hindu scriptures and any insults thrown at him replied "For each finger pointed at me, five fingures are pointed back".

Bless him.

We all still talk about you and miss you and even more so today. Happy birthday Raghavan sir, hope you’re having fun celebrations up there in heaven!
