Apprentice jockeys can only be apprentice till they complete 40 winners or 25yrs of age.

Apprentices who hardly won 3 or 4 races became full jockeys and nowadays successfully riding in various centers.  For Example,  A.Prakash. 

I do agree to the points mentioned by Anilx only if those r imlified..otherwise there won't be a competitive jockeyship..claimers wud have to show the grit n eagerness n determination to learn quick..quicker n showcase the skills

Dear Godzilla,

The present system is too lagging. Only big house apprentices getting winning rides as only 12% of rides are given to apprentices. Non whip , non allowance at the beginning will develop more skills and balance to the beginner. 

We need changes to attract best blood

We need risk taking minds to come into lime light

If the very passive system follows jockey clans will disappear in next 15;years

The present system is okay. Any change in the system, will make the Jockey to remain as Apprentice life long.
