This is sad news , as an ardent fan of racing for more than a decade and having been a part of the blogging community for sometime , this is personal. 

Have always been a supporter of his horses during the big weekends , still vividly remember the darling In The Spotlight losing out to torolocco which happend to be my first ever bet , also saw Borsalino storm to victory from pillar to post in the bangalore summer derby the same season . It was only fit that he had a ward named Sir Cecil which dominated the season by winning a lot of group races 

Rest in Peace sir , Thank you for meticulously preparing the horses for the classics and always making educated punters to have an edge 

In condolences one should try to say good about whom we are talking. except few whole racing community know what the recent  past Bangalore stewards are worth for ,

Initial suspension (July 2023): The BTC stewards imposed a two-year ban on Padmanabhan after a urine and blood sample from his horse, Adjustment, tested positive for Tildrunic acid (Tildren). This therapeutic drug is used for bone-related issues, and the horse was administered the drug 77 days before the race. The suspension was criticized by racing journalists who pointed out that the withdrawal period was significantly less in other racing jurisdictions and that the BTC's chief veterinary officer had targeted Padmanabhan.

Court stay (November 2023): A Bangalore Additional City and Sessions Judge granted a temporary stay on the suspension, pending the court's final decision.

Suspension dismissed (April 2024): The Bengaluru Civil Court dismissed an appeal from the BTC to reinstate the suspension. The judge ruled that the principles of natural justice were not followed by the BTC stewards when they originally sanctioned Padmanabhan. This decision allowed him to resume training.

Man of disguise, trainer late paddy was originally from hyderabd, later shited to Bengaluru, was residing in RT Nagar, known for many tricks, horses used to find galloping shoes all of a sudden during few hyd classics, and even in Bengaluru, was caught by Bengaluru stipes for wrong doing many a times,

I remember one Bengaluru derby win of Borsalino which all of sudden won debry by distance with Sandesh, and hardly won thereafter may be it acheived one win out of next all outing

it was not shobby treatment as written below, it was punishment and rightly so,  last few years he had lost faith of owners and trainers and was lying low.

Desert god came at a time when covid has engulfed racing, in absence of Mam and D Khaitan missing, Vijaya Mallya left India. Made it easy for desert god victories

trainer Mr. Padmanabhan a legendary personality, Successful trainer, Punters pulse, God should give the peaceful life in heaven.

Trainer Padmanabhan is an achiever who grown from dust and became one of the best Trainer in India. His lucky horse is Running flame who was under SP Khaitan colors and when he stopped racing suddenly gifted to Padmanabhan. It not performed good in early races. Being a keen fan of racing I used to visit and watch work out. I found running flame is working with extra weight . It paid well as it won a million race in Mumbai with 15 to 1 odds, there after she created history by beating the best generation of horses India everproduced. He is a great personality even advises not gamble too much.

Sorry to hear the news of Champion Trainer Padmanabhan having passed away he trained many great horses and has also Given Farewell rides to great jockies Remember Champion Jockey Nike Bird from Kolkatta who rode his Last ride in Bengaluru horse named DAZZLER from Paddy's Stable  he came from mid position and rode like one Possessed  tote paid Rs 995 for a tenner Me & Suresh my friend made a killing profit that day.

Paddy was a nice human being and was always open for discussion of any of his Horses as well as identifying the opposition strengths and then preparing for the Gambles by putting many upcoming Jockeys like M/s Silvastorai , Trevor Patel, Suraj narredu . mallesh Narredu apart from Great International jockeys 

@Om shanti, the great padmanabhan who ruled All centers of India in top classics, lost a legend 

Very good trainer after his health problem still continued training nobody appreciated the sobby treatment ment given to him by bangalore stewards he came back but again and continued training , many of us many memories of his horses performance i still remember the way pat eddery wining with leap  strech near winning post in Hyderabad, om Shanti 

Very very sad to hear that Paddy sir is no more. Rest In Peace.

"His life is Inspiration for all young racing professionals. 2008-2009  in initial stages of my racing career I had interacted with him in Bangalore Turf Club. His advise to me  continue in your own way as it is different and not conventional, Thankfully I did that only. He was also very good pedigree expert which was reflected in breeding and winning  top races from  his own yards. A true Legend ,we lost two Greats Top Trainer, Top Jockey recently. His passing creats a void in our hearts ,In Racing industry.

I remembered his trained Champion horse BACKET .  Actually a miler pedigree  but His training skill makes BECKET DERBY AS WELL AS INVITATION CUP WINNER.
