Sandesh got opportunity to ride Miracle Star in PBMM and mysore 1000 guineas, and both time he misjudged the pace and took horse to the front in hope of a start to finish, which didn't suit the horse at all. Suraj has better judgement of pace and increases chances of Miracle star for Win

The standard of racing has come down drastically Pan India. There is no competition and lesser rated animals go on to win plum events

@Antony Raj S, sitting on Darius Byramji horse maybe he can win on some good odds 

We usually don't see shroff taking his horse to Mysore .. He wants this horse to win the Derby . On other hand Suraj declared on Miracle star will give a good fight but Red Bishop should prevail..

May I know why suraj is riding Miracle Star.Sandesh  is the Retained jockey of Late Paddy Sir Stable ? Can anyone Reply to this.

There is nothing much to analyse in the race. Red Bishop will win easily. There could be fight for runner up in 2/3 of them. But unless any fitness issues Red Bishop has no company in this field. It's a far superior horse and lost unlucky in Hyderabad to a very very good horse. 

Acceptances are out. Only 7 contestents for the Mysore Derby with RED BISHOP being the highest rated. The challenger would be MIRACLE STAR who finished 1/2 Length better in Bangalore Summer Derby over same distance. 

Considering the further improvement made by both of these horses, MIRACLE STAR looks to have a better chance of wearing the derby sash.

As a tribute to local Hero late Sri  Paddy other local trainers are unlikely to press hard. Shroffs 2 horses have no chance. So It's going to be Miracle Star all the way.

Suraj is bent up on giving a fitting tribute to late trainer.

One horse race

Some horses that can be accepted with a good chance are Perfect Attitude, Ravishing Beauty and Miracle Star. These 3 are only likely danger to Red Bishop. I shall sit on my additional comments until the final race card is released. 

With all the hype associated with RED BISHOP , the fact remains that this horse has won in just 2 out of 8 races it contested. Not a very impressive bio.

MOUNTAIN JEWEL was rated 18 points lower in Deccan Derby . In a handicap race should have carried 9 Kg less. As per the terms of the Derby, it carried only 1.5 Kg less and could beat RED BISHOP. With such big advantage, RED BISHOP could not pull off a victory.

There are few contenders who may give RED BISHOP some trouble. Let us wait another day and let the acceptances be out. 

Right now, I will look for MAANA who beat an ordinary Class 4 field in Chennai with an extraordinary margin of 16 lenghths over 1800 M.

But waiting for the acceptances is better.
