If asked

No club, no owner, no jockey, no trainer invites any to come bet and earn in my horse

They always advertise to watch only

But the easy money greed is spoiling the punters

I never ever bet on any other favourite even if it is in my own selection, I believe in earning handsome amount with low investment, if I feel like the favourite is unbeatable, then I refrain from betting on that particular race, rather than burning my fingers on upset at that particular race

But if in any handicap races, the handicapped adjust the weight to have equal chance for all horses, I definitely try to play an upset above 10/1 as all have equal chances as per handicap 

Whatever be the reason, for earning in races needs luck favoring too

@Libero...oh yeah there is no rule that favourites should win, but the intent of the team Favourites is the question raised....FYNBOS... trevor suspended for 4 big days and a huge huge huge fine of 50k...such a massive punishment for not riding a horse in which crores of money was running...these type of incidents are being questioned by punters...

I forgot the rule book where it was written as only favourite should win

Those who are all blaming the results should learn to believe the logic behind the winners.mumbai is the only centre where no or less gamblers involved it is pure class and every owner nd trainer tries hard to win . In a field of 6+ runners the chance of favs winning is barely 30-40% chance.play safe nd encourage sport for future generations.

Though I don't big, I pick 3 or 4 second fav or within odds 4 to 1, bet on 2 horses if in gain will leave course, or if lose 1st two, bet on 3rd my bets will be in range 3k to 5k. I don't play daily may be once  or twice in 3 months.

Largly my accounts have been even stevens, nothing to boast

Horse Racing sport is full of uncertainty. The Clubs are Conducting the the Racing  the result is not on  their hand . Sometime Card looks Attractive,  sometime  Tricky and with experience i t can be judged. The four legs animals are doing their job wonderfully. 

Zacharias is not poised to win a hefty penalty of 22points even British racing the 3y.olds are not able to carry this much, Why Handicappers are not knowing this simple formula?

Well said Ashrafali. Indian racing has lost its old charm mainly attributed to exorbitant taxation followed by contagious disease Glanders engulping sourh indian racing centres . In order to augment financial sources this type of manipulation is needed for stable iwners which resulted in punters hue and cry.  Only way to safeguard ourselves from all 5hese misfirtunes and mishappenings we have to restrict punting as much as oossible and invest our financial sources elsewhere where return is guaranteed

Professors can lecture only AFTER the races.

The RWITC (Royal Western India Turf Club) went all out with their over-the-top advertising, roping in an Irish - UK Champion, promising an unforgettable experience. But once again, it was nothing but smoke and mirrors. 9 out of 10 favorites completely crumbled, leaving punters with nothing but empty pockets. The crowd was packed in, but it was clear who the real winners were—the RWITC, raking in the money while the punters got fleeced. It was a classic case of them hyping up an event just to "pickpocket" the public, with little regard for the fairness or excitement of the race itself. A complete scam in broad daylight.

You explained very good,  the tragedy for punters who play Fav for win well, but a few points to keep in mind. Why Always go with the market odds, and why play all races.

You got the bol book pdf one day before. Download it, prepare each race for half an hour or at least 15 min, and next day go play a sure-shot winning horse for place.

Next, go home and don't get tempted to play all races.

Again, I feel in India,  maybe 1-2% of people know the art of perfect handicapping, and the rest play based on odds and the craze of playing races without any preparationng races without any preparationng races.

Tiepolo lost race in the steawrds room last time. This time ran in same fashion but no objection taken by king ke. 

Radiant reign was already struggling at halfway mark. 

Zacharias never hit top gear. Probably lost all its energy excercising on sand tracks. 

Brasilier was never in the race.

@Ashraf Ali... perfectly put by you regarding Sunday's races, your statements echoe in every punters heart. Questionable favorites, questionable rides, questionable underperformance by top quality horses, even horses that are fancied in places where nowhere to be seen. 

I indeed put an article after 1000 Guineas day that I will be not posting any selections especially in classics after the dismal questionable ride/performance of Fynbos. Many seniors replied to me that it is a part of game/sport, but the reality is they made this game horrible. With South Indian racing shut, RWITC is the only premier center running, and they are expected to showcase quality racing to the core, but alas! It is not happening. Nightmare. Public will abandon racing when country's top stables are playing havoc. Fynbos lost, zacharias lost, both regarded as top juveniles in India. RIP Indian racing.

If ever there was a race day that brutally exposed the widening chasm between advertised glamour and ground reality, Sunday’s Mumbai card was it. A day pushed, promoted, and publicised to the hilt ended up delivering nothing but devastation for the common punter — a literal massacre of trust.

Out of ten races, nine favourites were turned over. Not beaten narrowly. Not unlucky. Not excusably denied. They were humiliated, exposed, and rendered non-competitive — some not even threatening to enter the frame.

Let that sink in.

1st Race: JODI — from the much-touted Ashwa Ankara & Marlboro Man combine — lost without a whimper

3rd Race: ENFORCER @ Evens — beaten fair and square, no excuses

4th Race: Red Bishop — fails to beat Earth, a result that raised eyebrows

5th Race: RADIANT REIGN — favourite and nowhere near the first four

6th Race: AKITANIA — not even in the first three

7th Race: Favourite KING KE — doosra stablemate obliges at lucrative odds, rubbing salt into open wounds

8th Race: RED HOT FAVOURITE ZACHARIAS — not on the frame

9th Race: BRASILIER — out of the first five

The only favourite to salute the judge was ALL FOR LOVE (75/100) in the second race — a lone survivor on a battlefield littered with broken betting slips and shattered confidence.

What makes the situation even more galling is the predictable silence that follows. No stewards’ inquiries of consequence. No transparent explanations. No accountability from leading stables. No reassurance to the betting public that the integrity of the sport is being protected.

The leading stable of the day did not just win races — it handed despair to the racing public.

*IS THIS HOW YOU GROW HORSE RACING?*

Authorities speak endlessly about reviving the sport, attracting new audiences, and increasing footfall. Yet, days like this do more damage than a thousand empty stands.

You cannot market hope and deliver hopelessness.

You cannot sell confidence and engineer confusion.

You cannot ignore the punter and expect the sport to survive.

Sunday was not merely a poor advertisement for Mumbai racing — it was a warning siren.

If such days continue unchecked, horse racing will not need enemies.

It will destroy itself from within.

The question is no longer what went wrong.

Race 1 – Marlboro Man (No. 3)

Looks well placed in this field. Consistent efforts recently and should be comfortable at this trip. If he breaks cleanly, he can be right in the finish.

Race 2 – Lucio (No. 5)

Progressive type who appears to be moving in the right direction. Has shown enough ability to suggest he can outclass this lineup if things go smoothly.

Race 4 – Ultimo (No. 1)

Drawn well and has the class edge on past performances. If reproducing his better runs, he should be hard to beat.

Race 5 – Lornezo (No. 3)

Conditions seem to suit, and a positive ride could make the difference.

Race 6 – Akitania (No. 3)

Consistent and reliable sort. Handles similar company well and should be involved in the final shake-up.

Race 7 – Tiepolo (No. 5)

Interesting contender with scope for improvement. If he settles early, he has the turn of foot to make an impact late.

Race 8 – Sovereign King & Western Star

Open race. Both have shown flashes of form and could surprise if things fall their way. Worth keeping an eye on how the race develops.

Race 10 – American Eagle (No. 10)

Capable finisher who may benefit from pace up front. If timed right, can close strongly in the final furlong.
