Also the bunch beaten by Fynbos later on is also of feeble handicap calibre.The real fight will be a toss up between Jodha's pair of improving Baychimo and Sovereign King who ran a mighty race even after a gap of five months.

Zacharias will beat them all..but I hope he is not given to Mr Murphy. He is a well known global jockey but not at Mahalaxmi. Zacharias has a good chance here as in between both races where he lost to Baychimo in between I found him little keen. I wish Vivek is given the ride and can win a well planned tactical race. Another point is most in all probability Baychimo n Fynbos will get most support in the ring. Favorites rarely win the ID ..for me it's the chupa rustam Zacharias.

For a derby distance tat too in long stretch abt 450m of Indian racing in flat track a horse who comes from behind are always a advantage...horses like war hammer,ranqelino,enabler,mirra,all came from behind with top speed

Recently I was watching Melbourne cup races where a horse who just won caufield cup of 2400 metres and was made fav to win Melbourne cup of 3200 metres distance .

everyone doubted his ability and pedigree about staying but won easily truely on recent form

I have seen that there are many people who follow you as well as criticize you in the same forum. I consider you to be an avid racing follower. I won't judge you on the results or selections you make because if any one says he lost because of your given selection, he is stupid. Or even if someone praises he won because of your selection he is equally stupid as well. 

This is not a lottery game. The selection of bet needs great amount of Study( which starts from pedigree, day of birth, progress of a horse, etc etc. )

So if anyone follows you blindly without analysis of his own in a race he is stupid. May he loose or win is irrelevant. 

Now let's come to Baychimo and Indian Derby. 

At the moment the horse that seems to be bred and proven over a mile and a half is Fynbos. She has a class, she has required temperament, she is capable. 

Tell me something,. running over a mile and quater whom would you give a chance Fynbos or Zacharias? 

Secondly Gunsmoke is running in a pattern similar to Velvet Rope. Where he was classic hopeful as a juvenile but never delivered. The day it did was great upset. 

Indian Derby is factor to many reasons. It is not that winner of Indian Derby has always been the best champion. 

So let's enjoy the race. This is not a race where "Study" really works. Otherwise Noble Eagle would have not run a place. 

Baychimo has not won a single derby not sure how you are calling it a wonder horse. It's too early to say Baychimo will win derby, horse is not bred to stay, won 2000 mts on sheer class but 2400 mts looks difficult 

 It will be catch me if u can for all other contendes  against  SOVEREIGN KING

Baychimo's final furlong timings have always been very impressive. But I cannot fathom if you've done this on purpose, congratulating the owners in advance. I always find this superstitiously manipulative, and any horse who falls prey to superconfidence ends up losing the following race.
