ANZAC PARADE... it is very speedy,it has just a year back raced in class III and performed well.

ANZAC PARADE has got good ititial pseed, even in the last run at the distance post over 1400 meters it was all alone and shaped like a winner but was eased up.

Today over 1200 meters, it will jump out and hit front and race will be over bar the shouting.

Race 2

On paper 2 Aphelion looks the best amongst the lot. Great run over 5.5 furlongs albeit several months ago, excellent track work, positive jockey change, change of trainer, etc But if the going is soft (high penetrometer reading), I will seriously doubt the horses chances.

My only fear is that almost all of the acceptances are eligible in the Lower Class which makes my intent to lay more conservative rather than aggressive.

Race 4

On debut in a 6 furlongs sprint, 5. Dardanus looked gross, kept changing his legs, never settled and yet fought to be upfront, got headed and then fought back to win at higher odds. Good Type. Don't know much about his current looks or condition but keeping in mind that the trainer has opted for 9 Furlongs indicates that Dardanus IS NOT 100% and the trainer would like a lesser pace so that his horse settles in and learns from it. Check if entered in any Winter Classics. Same winning is jockey is retained which makes him a good Gamble. Bartolino won too easy and is the horse to beat.
 

Race 5

1. Prokofiev requires a ballsy ride (90's Kader / Corner style). Needs to hit the front on his own pace, stay at it and then gallop on. Since Prokofiev has such a big galloping round stride and tends to hang in most jockeys immediately try to straighten him & whip on the right - this almost always breaks the horse's momentum. Hope Akshay sets the pace, keeps him close onto the rails and uses it to his advantage and uses the whip with the left rather than the right -  Prokofiev will angle his body out automatically and continue with the momentum to the finish. Bet BIG !

SURELY the hegemony of PESSI and the Western Indian owners are likely to continue.....(Indian horse racing is at the mercy of the Persian community)....But Mr. Prasanna Kumar, at present who is leading the South Indian pride will surely TRY to stop this unhealthy trend....(SURELY he has got this ability)....
