Mr.Race professor , it seems you are not aware in Mysore , a horse opens at 20 to 1 and closes at even money with no logic and no explanations... Seen so many horses backed like that and the important thing is that horse will win 99% of the time. Mysore races are unpredictable and sometimes allegedly rigged.

Mr.vishwa, in recent times your selections are fantastic,  its a pity that no one has taken note of you, 100% strike rate for btc ,2/3 for Mysore mind blowing

As a jockey like antony raj and umesh cannot prospect for a win  how can punters predict .luckily arashad got a win. 

 I think ,kunigal when it  is  shifted from bangalore will follow the same after 2 yrs. 

No suraj.no Trevor no vivek no antony no neeraj no sandesh no ak can win there   ..follow all new comers that is going on in mysore.. only wodeyar family or turf club has to explain on future of the course.

Simple analysis is it necessary to bring efficacy today in mysore .every new it can win but for what cause ..aeroplane taking over a train..

After all the ups and downs, and after all the drama, it ended with a loss for me .......more or less something that can be recovered.

But my main concern is Race 1: Glowing Moonlights. A horse that looked completely bogus became the favourite before it was withdrawn. How can handicappers like us know that the horse was ready? It feels too unpredictable.

Anyway, Bangalore still has some genuine chances, and I have to say if Anushtubha had finished 3rd, I would have recovered more and probably made a good profit. I still put more on the place, but unfortunately it finished 4th. That’s racing.

My only concern is how did a horse like Glowing Moonlight become the favourite? If anyone has good insights or an explanation, please share in detail.

Mysore Races July 01, 2026:

We have an interesting 7 event card in which winner picking is not easy. Every race has got some serious contenders, some no hopers and some horses who can do anything on a particular day. Remember, most of the runners are older horses and the track is MYSORE.

But, punters being punters, we have to find suitable bets. Here is my take for the day.

Race 1: Race for the lowest class of horses where the performance in the last run does not translate into better performance next time. By all logic, TRUMP BABY should emerge a winner out of these 12 runners, but the lower class races generally do not give logical results. My choice would be 5-PETTE'S CHOICE (Vishal) for a PLACE bet with a small amount on WIN also. This horse has been knocking on the door for sometime but not getting there. 

Race 2: Race over 1400 M for horses 5 year olds and over. A good field of 12 runners. IRON KING and KRISHVI are recent winners. WALTER was second to IRON KING and runs with a chance. NATURAL ONE also runs with a chance. We have to make a calculated choice and my vote goes to 2-KRISHVI (Faiz) who won very well last time and incurred a big weight penalty. Allowance of 2.5 Kg claimed by the jockey will help.

Race 3: Again a Class 5 race with poor quality of runners. For me, it is a simple selection . 3- SECRET SHADOW (Ankit Pal) should win this race if the horse runs to its potential.

Race 4: There are only two 4 year old horses out of the 12 runners. FALCON FURY and SAPPHIRE. Both had run in the same race on June 03 and finished 2nd and 3rd.

My choice 5- FALCON FURY (Abhishek Mhatre)

Race 5: 9- EFFICACY (Shreyas Singh) is making a trip fom Bangalore to lift this trophy and may very well succeed. Trainer S S Ataollahi is not doing well with his fancied horses but on known form, this apppears to be a good selection. 11- PERFECT BLEND can find itself among the top 3.

Race 6: 11- SADA (Anil Bandal) is the simple choice for this 1600 M race.

Race 7: 12- SILVER QUEST (Vinod Shinde) win very well last time. Goes up in class but 4 year olds improve as they go up in ratings. Should complete the hat trick of wins.

All slections are for WIN, PLACE and SHP bets. Sometime SHP bet saves a lot of money.

After all, there is only a short head between a WIN and LOSS.

With no offence to Sandy Barron, lots of factors do matter in racing, Breeds, Horses performances, Jockey's on board, Trainer, Ideal racing distance of a horse and class, etc etc....

I did submit my seletion earlier without the declaration of jockeys. Here is my analysis to back my earlier selections, with Race Card:

1-2 TRUMP BABY - Ran a good 2nd over 1400m with jockey Afsar Khan on board. Now with S Saqlain in the saddle will be ++ an added advantage.

2-1 IRON KING - Nothing much to add as Ashad Asbar is retained to ride. Should win again.

3-3 SECRET SHADOW - Ran 5th last race over 1200m in class4 with Shamez Shareef can be ignored. Prior run a good 3rd over 1200m 1:12:39 with Ankit Pal in the saddle who is brought back to ride in a lower cat race is a huge advantage.

4-5 FALCON FURY - Abhishek Mathre is taking the ride again is an advantage who rode 2nd recently. Should see the winning post this time as I mentioned only 4yr old in the bunch.

5-3 STILL I RISE - Last run an impressive 2nd over 1400m ridden by an apprentice which can be considered a lung opener + that run came after a long gap of 1yr 4 months. Now ready to strike with Neeraj in the saddle. My DAYS BEST bet.

6-11 SADA - I am sure will run a good race with whoever is on board, As mentioned just had two runs so far and more to come from this young horse. Anil Bandal on board might be for good odds.

7-12 SILVER QUEST - A recent winner with an apprentice on board. As mentioned to remind you its the only 4yr old horse in the race and more to come from this horse. Vinod Shinde is taking the ride is a opportunity for him riding an inform horse.

I will stick to my DOUBLE - TREBLE and DAYS BEST bet.

3-3 SECRET SHADOW - Last couple of runs are good enough in higher category to win this lowest category race with 5yr old+

4-5 FALCON FURY - Ran a good 2nd coming from behind over 1200m. Now going over the same distance. The only 4yr old in the race compared to many aged horses. Will win this time.

5-3 STILL I RISE - 4 wins, 5 2nd, 5 3rd. Consistent a good class1 horse. Recent run was over 1400m carrying top weight 64.5Kg -3.5Kg with an apprentice on board and finished an impressive 2nd 1:22:93. Now going over the same distance. This is a DAYS BEST bet.

6-11 SADA - By Speaking of which. Just two runs so far. Last run a very good 2nd over 1600m when favorite. Now going over the same distance in same class. Will come out of maiden ranks. I think more to come from this horse being 4yr old.

7-12 SILVER QUEST - By Phoenix Tower. An impressive winner over 1200m 1:11:61 by 5L in a class4 race. Now going in higher class, but got weight advantage. More to come from this horse as well being a 4yr old.
