Yash mount drifted alarmlingly but Vivek has accelerated his horse a bit too late.

Stewards should hold an enquiry into the running of a big Race like Derby. Viveks horse was any time better.

Winner is a winner . At the end result matters. Congratulations to Yash and winning connections.

This is how I see it ,I may be wrong. 

1. Margerita is a horse needs a strong pace and surprisingly pessi did not put any pace maker .

2. Pace of the race almost dead but Margerita did really well and would have won. Even without drift episode , result would have been same.  That was the plan I guess.

3 Margerita opening odds was at evens , I was expecting 70-80p.. Bookies knew something that punter didn't.

4. Won by another very talented horse from the same yard belonging to one of the most esteem owners for the stable.

No offence to anyone, and nothing personal against the post, but calling it a great Derby ride is a bit too much.

It was one of the poorest rides of the Derby. The horse drifted badly towards Margaretta, and even Vivek couldn't avoid losing momentum. That cost at least a length in the final stages. He's just a rider, nothing more. Credit where it's due though—D'artagnan ran a brilliant race.

Anyways, congratulations on D'artagnan.

If these two meet again over the same distance—or any distance for that matter—you'll see a different result.

Well to be frank, jockey Vivek should have objected because his horse did cover tremendous ground even after being taken out, making him loose around 2 lengths at least.  Atleast the trainer, P Shroff, should have.  But poor punters.  A very unlucky thig this.  But punters never had nor will ever have a word in such matters.  Lets hope for fair results atlest in the coming future.  No grudge against anyone please.
