*HYDERABAD MASALA SELECTIONS (28/07/2026) :*

RACE 1 : Hrs no 3 (*DARING SPIRIT*) well bred gelding from Gusto line, came up well to finish close 2nd over 7 furlong in his last run, now looks much improved, going in a shorter trip with positive switch on saddle, if in galloping mood can romp back home today.

Hrs no 1 (*ANALYSIS*) should be fighting every inch of the ground.

RACE 2 : Hrs no 1 (*ADVAIT*) still a maiden after two outings, failed as favorite over 6 furlong trip previous outing, now again tried over same trip, retains good form, positive rider switch now, if intend positive should get out of maiden ranks today.

Hrs no 2 (*MASTER CLASS*) shapes as the main danger.

RACE 3 : Hrs noo3 (*GREIF*) well bred foreign line fillie, impressive victory last outing over 6 furlong, retains good form and working jockey engaged on top, should put up a bold show today.

Hrs no 1 (*DUBAI TOUCH*) can upset, keep an eye on any market move.

RACE 4 : Hrs no 1 (*PRIDE ASIDE*) well bred fillie ignore her previous outing over sharp distance in higher class, now gets demoted down in class and going over an extended trip of mile which will suit, with 2.5kg claimer jockey on top gives handy advantage over rivals, should run a forward race again today.

*EACH WAY*

RACE 5 : Hrs no 2 (*LA QUINTA*) 4yrs old gelding still a maiden after 6 outings, failed to justify favouritism and ran 4th in his previous outing, now again tried in a 6 furlong trip, retains good form, try jockey engaged on top, should be given another chance today.

*STRONG FANCY*

RACE 6 : Hrs no 3 (*WALKING THUNDER*) well bred gelding coming after a lay off, now tried over a 6 furlong trip, good in his morning trial, ace jockey retained on top, looks all set to romp back home today.

*DAYS BEST*

RACE 7 : Hrs no 9 (*CORINTHIAN*) the outstation challenger has won over this distance in same class, now again running in same trip, retains winning form, ace jockey engaged on top, if can handle the wide draw should be in the finishing frame today.

Hrs no 4 (*GOLDEN GAZELLE*) should be in fight.

RACE 8 : Hrs no 7 (*SEE THE LIGHT*) well bred 4yrs old fillie is a very honest galloper, always runs on board, ran 3rd over 6 furlong last outing, now going in a slightly cut down trip, same rider retained on top with a favourable draw this time, if hits the front looks hard to beat today.

*HAPPY PUNTING FRIENDS*

Day 2 of Hyderabad.

Day 1 started on a positive note, but the final races turned the tables, leaving me with a 45% loss from my bankroll.

Today is all about the comeback.

These are my four strongest shots after handicapping from every possible angle. The aim is simple: recover yesterday's 45% setback and step back into the profit club.

Let's see how the day unfolds.

Race 1

Analysis (1)

Though running on steel shoes, still a good one to be on board.

Win: 1 unit

Place: 20 units at any odds. If the win odds drift beyond 2/1, reduce the place to 10 units.

Race 3

Turiya (6) & Greif (3)

Win: 5 units each

Place: Will check the odds and balance accordingly. Hammer on place from 40 paisa to any odds.

Race 7

Corinthain (9)

Win: 5 units

Place: Hammer 30 units starting from 40 paisa to any odds.

Race 8

See The Light (7)

Win: 5 units

Place: Hammer 30 units starting from 40 paisa to any odds.

That's it for today.

One thing I'd like to tell everyone...play your win bets, no doubt but always balance them with place bets. If your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd, you shouldn't walk away with a loss.

That's exactly what I did yesterday and keep doing for years... I stayed in profit until Race 6. The last two races cost me, and I finished down 45%. Emerald Touch paying 1.5 place odds was a gift. I also saw many in our online group back only the win and also when I go in the ring even there ..

My only advice....never ignore place odds, even if they're just 40 paisa. The rest is your choice.

Good luck, everyone.

Let's hammer or get hammered ourselves.

Today Either I will recover yesterday's 45% loss, or I doubled it. Let's see.

RACE-1

1. ANALYSIS          ***** TOP TIER CONTENDER

Three consecutive 1200m placings (3-2-2), proven at the trip with   sub-24 final-400m splits. Head-to-head superiority over CYPRESS,  GOLDEN AURA and MYSORE PHARAOH at today's distance. Competition form validated as MILD UPGRADE (rivals SHARANGA placed in Class

3, LA QUINTA won subsequently). Small trainer + big jockey rule activates; older form (Mar 10 and Mar 31) is consistently strong and given priority over last run. Drawn Gate 2 (inside), saving ground for his deep-closing style. Top weight at 60kg is fully justified by the weight-adjusted evidence. Only concern is an 11-day trackwork gap (stale risk) and a "slowly away" gate flag,  but neither is severe enough to dislodge the top berth.

2. DARING SPIRIT      **** STRONG CONTENDER

The only horse in the field with a genuine jockey upgrade to Suraj Narredu (21% win rate), the strongest single connections  signal in the race. Small trainer (A Imran Khan) + big jockey  triggers the older-form-priority rule; his Mar 16 1200m 3rd  (beaten 1.25L by a 49-rated rival while giving weight) is the key older form line and is solid. Last two runs both placed  (2nd at 1400m, 3rd at 1200m). Age tiebreaker applies: 4yo  gelding preferred over older rivals. Wide Gate 7 and a past  gate incident are negatives, but his stalker/closer profile can  overcome a wide draw if he breaks cleanly. The 27.75L maiden  defeat from Feb 2025 (17 months ago) is heavily discounted for  age and is the only blemish; it does not represent his current  ability level.

RACE-2

1. MASTER CLASS  *****  TOP TIER CONTENDER

The strongest time-figure profile in the field by a wide margin. His 10-Mar 1200m HYD clocking of 1:13.86 was faster on the day than horses subsequently rated 56, 75, 75, and 79 -- and that effort was compromised by a drift-out. The winner that day, DARDANUS, subsequently won a Rated Cl3 event, providing the only STRONG competition-form validation in this  field. He beat ADVAIT by 4.5L at level weights over today's course and distance in that same race. Sweepstakes signal is STRONG (two Grade 1  Derby entries plus a Grade 3). The negatives are real -- wide draw (11),  slow-start tendency, greenness, and a lateral jockey switch to Gaurav  Singh (0%) from a dormant stable -- but the raw class evidence is  compelling enough to override those operational concerns. Connections  have invested heavily in this horse's future and today's 1200m is likely  a prep for longer targets, but his debut-run time at this trip was  exceptional and the form is rock-solid.

2. ADVAIT  ****  STRONG CONTENDER

The most race-proven 1200m HYD performer with two runs at the trip,  improving from 5th to 2nd. His 24-Mar run (beaten 2L) saw him decisively  clear of WIND CASTLE, KINSHIP, and WESEETHESAMESUN in the same race. Time analysis places him within 0.01s of a 49-rated rival and 0.36s of  a 53-rated rival -- effective class estimate ~50+. Trackwork is the  sharpest in the field (-3s gallop, ideal peak timing 6 days out). P Trevor (23%) is a mild jockey upgrade. However, he was beaten 4.5L by  MASTER CLASS in their direct head-to-head, his competition form only  validates as MILD UPGRADE (no rival has won at a higher class), and the  sweepstakes signal is only MODERATE. A colic episode 22 days ago is a  WATCH flag. The older-form-priority rule (small trainer + big jockey)  means his inferior 10-Mar run carries weight alongside his improved  24-Mar effort. He is the clear second pick with a live chance if Master Class repeats his gate issues.

RACE-3

 1. GREIF ***** TOP TIER CONTENDER

Back-to-back wins with weight-adjusted time data showing she outran horses rated 66-95 in her latest victory. MILD UPGRADE on competition  validation. Proven at the 1100m trip. 4yo filly in prime age band.

The negative is zero trackwork data and a jockey downgrade, but the underlying form is the strongest weight-adjusted evidence in the field. Deep-closing style is a mild concern under whip-free rules,  but she has won from 10th at the 4f pole at this distance before.

  2. ARTHISHA  ****  STRONG CONTENDER

Two wins and a second from three 1200m runs this campaign with consecutive sub-24 second last-400m sectionals. Day Results confirm she matched 68-79 rated rivals on weight-adjusted time. BIG trainer (40% win rate) confidence claim with a jockey upgrade to B Nikhil. Stalking style from gate 4 is tailor-made for whip-free conditions. Concerns: NEUTRAL competition validation, 6yo veteran, unproven at exact 1100m, and form evidence slightly below GREIF's peak signal.

RACE-4

1. PRIDE ASIDE          ***** TOP TIER CONTENDER

PRIDE ASIDE is the clear form pick: an effective rating of 52 sits 5pts clear of the field and 7pts above the Class 4 ceiling, with three consecutive runs against R60+ rivals that have subsequently placed or won in rated company (MILD UPGRADE). She was within 0.46s of horses now rated 64-67 while carrying 16pt less weight that day; today's rise to 59.0kg effective is a concern but the underlying class gap is wide.

2. LA FLEURIERE         ****  STRONG CONTENDER

LA FLEURIERE takes second on the strength of a STRONG SIGNAL from day results (within 0.46s of five horses rated 50-61) plus MILD UPGRADE from competition form validation -- key rival DARING SPIRIT placed in rated company after being beaten less than 3L. Her pedigree (moderate, balanced-to-speed dosage) fits the 1600m trip, and the retained P Trevor booking (23% win rate) is the most coherent connections signal outside DIVINE TIGER. She receives 2kg from PRIDE ASIDE.

RACE-5

1. EK                    **** STRONG CONTENDER

EK is the only horse in the field with a BIG trainer (Magan Singh, 40%) and BIG jockey (Akshay Kumar, 25%) combination, plus a clear jockey upgrade from P Sai Kumar. This is the sole genuine intent signal in an otherwise cold field. Trackwork is the standout of the race (SHARP, -10s 1200m on the eve), equipment changes are net positive (blinkers/cross noseband/hanging bit removed), and direct head-to-head form shows EK 2.5L ahead of MY HONEY and 11L ahead of FAIZAH on the same card. Competition form validation is STRONG UPGRADE (AUTHORITARIAN placed 2nd in higher class; DIVINE FAITH consistently placed). The caveats are that 1200m is untested (both prior runs at 1100m), and a recent stumble plus fitness certificate requirement in July introduces a soundness risk. From gate 2, EK should control the pace as the sole front-runner.

2. LA QUINTA             **** STRONG CONTENDER

LA QUINTA is the strongest form horse with a recent WIN and a competitive 2nd at 1200m (beaten just 1.25L). Competition form validation is STRONG UPGRADE -- beaters RED HOT PUNCH and FOX WORTH both won next start, and SHARANGA placed in higher class. The only pedigree signal in the field (dam Xtreme, producer of multiple Cup/Trophy winners) adds depth. Carries the only sweepstakes nomination (historic G1 Colts Championship Stakes, WEAK signal). However, connections are ALL SMALL with a lateral jockey booking, trackwork is thin (just an easy 800m spin), hind bandages and a March veterinary withdrawal add medical risk. From gate 4, a stalking trip suits the compressed-pace scenario.

RACE-6

1. WALKING THUNDER    ***** TOP TIER CONTENDER Prime 4yo gelding | Gate 1 | Elite closer | STRONG sweepstakes Best trackwork | Clean medical | Validated form | H2H edge  2. BRILLIANT LAD      **** STRONG CONTENDER Prime 4yo gelding | Gate 6 | Big trainer + big jockey upgrade Day Results 10pts above official rating | Medical risk | No trackwork

 RACE-7

1. CORINTHIAN          ****  STRONG CONTENDER

Most recent 1400m winner in the field (17 days ago at Bangalore). Grade II 1400m sweepstakes nomination = TARGET RUN -- connections  have brought him here with intent. P Trevor (23%) returns having    previously won on this horse at the trip. Effective class 65-70, well above his current 55 rating. Concerns: cross-centre form  (Bangalore to Hyderabad), 25-day stale trackwork risk, and gate 12 is wider than his recent draws. Was slowly away in June. But the target-run signal, proven jockey, and recency outweigh the negatives.

 2. WOLF CREEK          ****  STRONG CONTENDER

Best 1400m form in the field on paper: two wins at this exact trip at Hyderabad this season. Form validated STRONG -- Vyasa, beaten a nose, subsequently won at Class 1. Only big-trainer/big-jockey    combination in the race (A Ashhad Asbar 26%). STRONG sweepstakes signal (three St. Leger nominations). However, 1400m is a PREP run for 2800m targets, he has not raced in 4 months, trackwork is only     STANDARD, and he suffered a colic episode 22 days ago (SERIOUS). Gate 14 adds further workload. The form is compelling but the medical and conditioning flags create real doubt about his readiness today.

RACE-8

1. AYUSHMAN ................ ***** TOP TIER CONTENDER

Strongest single form signal in the entire field: ran within 0.11s of 95-rated Black Onyx at 1200m on Apr 4, weight-favourable. Progressive 4yo gelding, best trackwork profile, jockey returning who has won on   him. The no-whips rule is a minor concern given his keenness, but his sectional data (23.87s last 400m) shows a genuine turn of foot without heavy urging.

2. FOXY GIRL ............... **** STRONG CONTENDER

Highest effective rating in the race (72) thanks to the 2.5kg fillies allowance. Two proven 1100m runs,  with sharp sectionals (23.30s last 400m). Strong 1400m form signal (within 0.06s of 73-rated Arabeska). Downside: claiming apprentice with no wins and a filly competing against a progressive gelding at the top of the market.

RACE-2: ADVAIT (1)-Heavy built gelding with balanced speed and stamina

RACE-3: GRIEF (3)-Runs well fresh

RACE-4: PRIDE ASIDE (1)-Can make the first appearance in the class-4 a winning one

RACE-5: LA QUNTA (2)- Advantage of speed against unconditioned horses in early stage of season

RACE-6: WALKING THUNDER (3) -A better draw unlike last time

RACE-7: CORINTHAN (9)- Hard to oppose on recent winning form at Bangalore
