I just wanted to clarify that 3-5 Jaisalmer was showing 90 paisa in morning odds the moment It went above 2/1, I was shocked because it shouldn't have gone above even considering it's potential and Mumbai runs. I checked the injury section and it was showing recent injections on both leg plus back pain. Thankfully it went negative and gave an hint something is wrong. Play this horse next outing it no further injury reported.

2-5 MARCOLINI - Consistent. Last run a very close 4th over 1200m with RS Bhati in the saddle that too in higher class. Now booking of V Bunde is positive.

3-5 JAISALMAR - By Dali. Mumbai import, last run 3rd over 1000m. Now going  over 1200m with TP in the saddle. I am sure will come out of maiden ranks.

4-3 ARGENTO - Lightly raced just three runs 2-1-2 all over 1200m. Now going over 1400m with TP in the saddle who rode last time.

5-12 STORMCHASER - Lightly raced just three runs 3-2-1 Last run win over 1400m with Suraj in the saddle. Bottom weight advantage with Hundu Singh in the saddle and moreover only 3yr old in the race.

Why:

Rating 24, one of the higher ratings in this field.

Recent form: 2-3-3-2-14 — before the latest poor run, she had an exceptionally consistent sequence.

At 61.5 kg, she carries weight, but not excessively more than the principal rivals.

She has already demonstrated the ability to finish prominently over this sort of distance.

Draw 8 isn't ideal, but over 1600m I still prefer her overall form profile to Golden Hammer and Global Fashion.

The latest 14 is the concern, but I regard it as an outlier rather than her true level.

Main danger: 07 — Fortune Warrior

The 59kg is attractive and his recent form is respectable, but his rating is lower.

My ranking:

Race 2 — The Aladancer Handicap Div-I — 1200m

My WIN: 5 — MARCOLINI

This is where I'm deliberately going against the IndiaRace top three.

Why Marcolini:

Rating 40, putting him among the better-rated runners.

Recent form: 3-2-1-3-4 — very solid and consistent.

Crucially, he gets 59.5 kg, which is considerably more favourable than Madras Cheque's 62.5kg and Hermod's 60.5kg.

Draw 1 is a major positive in a 1200m race.

He has already shown he can win at this level.

His recent sequence suggests he is maintaining his form rather than relying on one isolated performance.

Main danger: 3 — HERMOD

Hermod has the stronger headline form with two recent wins and a rating of 42, so he is the obvious danger. But 60.5kg and draw 9 make me prefer Marcolini.

Dark horse: 12 — PRINCESS S

Only one recorded run, finishing 2nd, and carries just 53kg. The unknown improvement makes her dangerous, but she hasn't proven enough yet for me to make her the selection.

Race 3 — The Aladancer Handicap Div-II — 1200m

My WIN: 9 — NOORIE

This is my strongest selection of the three races so far.

Why:

Rating 33, but the important factor is her actual recent performance.

Recent form: 3-2-2-3-4 — extremely consistent.

She carries only 56kg, giving her a significant weight advantage over the top-rated runners.

Draw 5 is favourable for 1200m.

She has repeatedly been competitive rather than merely producing one good run.

Her form profile is considerably more reliable than Jaisalmer's 3-6-9-3-3.

Three Little Words has the highest rating at 45, but carries 62kg, which makes the handicap much tougher.

Why I'm not selecting Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is IndiaRace's first selection, but I don't agree. The recent 3-6-9-3-3 sequence is too inconsistent for me to make him the WIN horse, despite the 58kg.

Why Noorie beats Three Little Words for me

Three Little Words has the class/rating advantage, but 62kg vs 56kg is a substantial difference in a 1200m handicap. Noorie's consistency plus the weight makes the balance swing toward Noorie.

Race 4 — The Moon Mission Handicap — 1400m

???? My WIN: 6 — KEITARO

This is a race where I am not following IndiaRace's Argento selection.

Why Keitaro:

Carries only 58.5 kg, a useful advantage against Galway Girl/Lady Don.

Recent form 2-8-3-2-4 shows he has been competitive in this class.

His best recent efforts are strong enough to put him right in the finish.

Draw 8 is acceptable over 1400m.

Rating 38 is below Argento's 41, but the 1.5kg weight advantage and overall handicap balance make the difference for me.

He is a 4-year-old and therefore still has some scope for improvement compared with several older runners.

Main dangers:

3 Argento — clearly dangerous, particularly because of his excellent recent sequence and 3-year-old allowance.

1 Galway Girl — highest rating at 46, but 62.5kg and recent form are negatives.

Race 5 — 1400m

This is my value selection and another race where I'm deliberately not taking the IndiaRace first choice, Stormchaser.

Why Contessina:

Recent form is outstandingly consistent: 2-2-2-1-3.

She has been repeatedly finishing in the money rather than producing one isolated good run.

53.5kg is an excellent racing weight.

Draw 1 is a major positive over 1400m.

She gets a significant weight advantage over Natural Grace (62kg) and Jimmy Bee (60.5kg).

Her latest 3rd shows she remains competitive despite moving through this class.

Why not Natural Grace?

Natural Grace has the highest rating — 65, but has to give away substantial weight at 62kg, and her recent form 1-4-4-6-7 is going the wrong way.

Why not Stormchaser?

Stormchaser is extremely interesting with 50kg and 3-2-1, but his rating is only 38. That's a big class question. He can absolutely upset this, but I prefer Contessina as the more balanced WIN proposition.

Race 6 — The Swatantrata Handicap — 1400m

???? My WIN: 3 — MERLET

This is probably the most competitive race of the three.

Why Merlet:

Rating 77, joint highest in the field.

Recent form: 1-4-2-3-1.

Most importantly, he comes here after a win.

He has repeatedly shown he can perform at this class.

60kg is reasonable for a horse of his rating.

His overall recent sequence is stronger than Casha's 5-3-7-1-4.

Compared with Fable, Merlet has a better latest-run profile: both are rated 77, but Merlet comes off a win whereas Fable's sequence is 5-5-1-2-1.

Main danger: FABLE

Fable is extremely dangerous. He also has rating 77, and his last five include two wins and a second. If the pace/setup suits him, he can beat Merlet.

Third: CASHA

Casha also has rating 77, but her recent 5-3-7-1-4 is less convincing than the other two.
