2-1 COSMIC GIFT - Winner over 1100m last season and this season couple of runs over 1400m and last run in a term race can be ignored. I am TP is an added advantage. Might go wire to wire. 4 MATERIALITY - First run an impressive winner over 1100m. Benefit of a run will improve and should fight out with CG sure to place.

3-2 SHE'S A BOMB - An impressive winner last run by 9L in a no whip race with K Mukesh Kumar in the saddle. The horses which came 2nd and 3rd both won in the later race. Now going with an apprentice -5Kg is a huge advantage. DAYS BEST! Eat 3 AMERICAN AFFAIR.

4-2 ONE AND ONLY - An impressive winner class1 horse with Akshay in the saddle over 1200m. Record 50% wins out of 14 runs. This is One and Only for this race. It will be Akshay double with My Touch in the first race.

5-4 ZUCCARO - Record 13 runs and 9 Wins. This should be a one horse race. Winner of last five races in a row. Vivek G winning the last three races. 1 DUKE OF TUSCANY should fill up the SHP spot.

6-8 AMERICAN GANGSTER - Last couple of runs good one over 1600m 2nd to 4 QUINTESSENTIAL ran from a wide draw and always going wide and closing the gap with the winner, now got weight advantage and will reverse the placings with DS Deora in the saddle.

1) FRENCH LIEUTENANT is improving with every run and you could say it has come to hand to deliver the coup de grace to the moderate opposition. The presence of AKSHAY KUMAR on MY TOUCH should help boost the odds of FRENCH LIEUTENANT a little bit.

2) COSMIC GIFT ran just 6 lengths behind BULLET PROOF and QUATTRO and so you could label it as a good horse. Last season it won over a distance of 1100 meters. So is it's ideal distance a sprint and is it doing well enough over 7 furlongs because of its class is moot. This race being over 1100 meters, the dual threat will be from MY WAY MY RULES and MATERIALITY, with the former trying to make a dash for it from the word go. If COSMIC GIFT doesn't allow the front runner to take more than a 3 length lead turning for home, its superiority should take it past the winning post first.

3) SHE'S A BOMB blew the opposition away over 6 furlongs, which by the way was a no whip race. The trainer feels the horse doesn't need to be whipped and put up a 5kg apprentice SURENDRA SINGH, who incidentally rode a winner on debut. The same trainer put him atop AYUSHMAN and as a favorite it was eventually backed down. This speaks volumes about the confidence the trainer had in the apprentice on debut. SURENDRA SINGH rode AYUSHMAN with panache and won comfortably. A similar ride should double his winning tally.

4) ONE N ONLY'S rating and recent form suggests that this should be easy pickings. Will it be trainer NETTO'S double for the day?

5) RAMIEL beat DUKE OF TUSCANY and DYF in the Bangalore St.Leger and before that in race no.133 ( 5-7-26, Bangalore) ZUCCARO beat RAMIEL out of sight over 2200 meters. This would make ZUCCARO the piping hot favorite, but can it be beat? Firstly ZUCCARO is running over the 2400 metre trip for the first time. An extra furlong is not much but it can ask questions. Secondly do you think the trainer is going to lose sleep if his other runner won the race? When DUKE OF TUSCANY beat FYNBOS in the Idar Gold Trophy, I didn't see the trainer sulking when he collected the trophy. Now the principal owner of ZUCCARO, DUKE OF TUSCANY and DYF is Mr. Dhunjiboy and he would be equally thrilled if DYF won. In DYF'S defense, in the St.Leger, as it was about to make its run in the straight, it encountered a wall of horses. On 29-8-26 in a mock race at Pune, DYF seemed to be traveling better than ZUCCARO. All said and done, I'm giving DYF the edge.

6) Carrying 60kgs, ONSLAUGHT ran an impressive third to SUPER SPLASH, inspite of an insipid ride by Md. Ismail. Considering that last monsoon season it beat LA QUINTA over a mile and ran a good second to BLACK DUST over 9 furlongs and now with a change in jockey (I. CHISTY), there is every possibility that ONSLAUGHT will come good.

3y old maiden race, no whip race, Bellas touch is a promising debutant who finished strongly to be 2nd. The step up in trip is a slight concern but the manner of his debut suggests he has ability. However, the horse has race fitness and a good draw. The French lieutenant is The most experienced and consistent horse in the field. He has strong recent form, a top jockey and a good draw (4). The drop back to 1200M is the only slight query, but his 1100M form is solid. He is the one to beat. My touch is very promising filly who was arguably an unlucky loser on debut due to a jockey error. The stable has immediately booked the top jockey, Akshay Kumar, and is running her back quickly. She can act as a major role.
