1. BETWEEN FRIENDS is the safest each-way bet in the race. He will sit handy, save ground from Draw 3, and be in the firing line turning for home. 

2. OPUS DEI - Everything aligns — weight, draw, jockey, fitness, and race shape. Break Point is the class horse but 60.5 kg over 1600M at Pune is a bridge too far. Dreamer is the danger but Opus Dei has her measure on recent form. 

3. AEON FLUX is the one to beat. She has the form, the class, the weight advantage, and the conditions. 

4. DON JULIO is the most progressive and well-handicapped runner. His 1600m form is strong, and dropping to 1400m with A Sandesh is a big positive.

5. TAJIRI Consistent, in good form, won at 1600m, should stay 1800m. MERCHANT OF VENICE Young improver, 1800m could unlock more.

6. NEW STAR looks the more likely to run a big race first-up. 

7. RED BISHOP 2800m: Untested. But his grinding style suggests he could stay — the question is whether he can stay and quicken. He will be running on late, but likely for minor money. He's a safe place play

Quite an intriguing card today, and I am sure I will find some good value bets, at long odds. Just a bit of advice, all races are named after ex trainers/jockeys, so try finding a link, as to which combination would Target a particular race.

In the 1st race I have a good one to start my day, WE STILL BELIEVE, based on excellent timing cracked in race 7 comes across as a very good value between to start the day. I know Lagad will target this race, but I don't find any merit in House of Lords.

3rd race - Initial shortlisted ones were Gold Bar, Aeon Flux, and QUEEN CAROLINE, and then, deep diving into their performances I feel QC will win.

4th race - Keep an eye on ESTEBAN, has a very good chance.

6th race, based on run with JAANDAAR, who has been on a winning spree since, PURE SOUL is one favourite I would advice lay bettors to stay away from.

8th race, B K Lagad Salver, Nerndra Lagad will go all out on RED LIGHTNING, and she has the credentials, but I am wary of BELIEVE, who knows, for me it might be a day of beliefs, with We Still Believe and Believe.

9th race, toss up is between FAY and Ashwa Ankara. Fay, though not having won a 1400m comes into reckoning today based on fractional timings in last race that she won, improved by over 3 lengths in the final furlong as compared to the earlier two.

1. BETWEEN FRIENDS : Given just 1 run ,finished easy  close 4th, HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE ON SERIOUS EFFORTS.

2. ROSARIO  : A clear handicap favours, ran close 2nd , now with  5kg allowance ,can produce a good run to WIN.

3. GOLD BAR  : Won easily in class V , now on promotion , earlier ran a good 2nd in same class ( IV MUM) .Now getting 2.5 kg + 3  wt  raised allowance. Should fighting out VALUE : EACH WAY.

4. DEDICATION : Withdrawn in last run , if he fit today can produce good run , let's see .not much penlty. 

5. FUNNY BUNNY : Last run best ignore ,draw was unfavorable,  unable to settle well. CAN STRIKE TODAY IN 1800 MET TRIP .. GOOD EACH WAY PROFILE.

6.PURE SOUL : Should be respected for last efforts , though maiden races r Unpredictable. He had good run against Jandar @ same trip., working impressive. SHOULD HAVE BOLD SHOW.

7. FYNBOSS  : Showing firm fitness after last easy run ,having Stamina to center this trip .. SHOULD WIN .

8. RED LIGHTING: Won fighting out, working good, fair handicap , should be there @ busy end in this open class.  VALUE : PLACE.

9. GOLDEN HEART : Trckey  field, G.H. won in this class @ same handicap & may get chance in this Suspect field.

Funny bunny will win this race. Last time out very unlucky as it suddenly started pouring during that race.It probably spoilt all the tactical moves for most of the horses, however today should win.

Play 0pos di ...won't be a surprise...it has got all the chance to beat dreamer n rosario...worth a chance..qA

1) It's a fairly long card and I'm sidestepping the first race.

2) ROSARIO got beat on the post by DREAMER over the mile trip and is now running on 3.5kg better terms. ROSARIO'S trainer feels this insufficient and has gone for a 5kg apprentice foregoing the whalebone. This might be a wrong tactic. Firstly I'm not sure the body weight of the apprentice will allow him to claim all the 5kgs. Secondly at the business end of the race (ironically) the lack of the whip will be sorely felt. NS PARMAR on DREAMER will be aware that the front running ROSARIO will try to exploit the handicap to the hilt and take a long lead, and so he too would be ready to release the brakes a tad sooner. A tactical race which DREAMER might win.

3) It's a toss-up between GOLD BAR and QUEEN CAROLINE and although the QUEEN is tracking extremely well, in its last run it was a little slowly off. If this happens again, RAMSWARUP who is riding with great aplomb, will grab the opportunity with both hands and guide GOLD BAR for an encore. 

4) DEDICATION on debut ran 1.25 lengths behind FYNBOS over a mile. Subsequently it beat SUPERSTAR over the mile trip and both times clocked 1.36s and change. It was highly thought of but after traveling to Bangalore its form petered out. It's last win suggests that it is regaining the lost form and is at a comfortable weight to take care of this bunch.

5) This is a muddling race and best left alone but if you insist, LOOKING LIKE A WOW tends to finish with a rattle over the mile trip and the extra furlong will be useful. Had a lung opener in the higher class and with the form jockey RAMSWARUP claiming 2.5kgs, might make its credentials felt.

6) PURE SOUL has gone over the 7 furlong trip last season when it ran a good 3rd to JAANDAAR. Was beaten this season by COFFEE AT ELEVEN who went on to win again. Tracking extremely well, and looks a certain winner but the odds might be a bit cramped. If you're thinking of a place bet, then a small fling on ROGUE will fetch you good odds.

7) Ever wondered what it's like to go to a gun fight and find that the weapon in your holster is a pen knife? The rest of the runners will be feeling that they are flashing their knives while FYNBOS is brandishing a bazooka. With money back odds on FYNBOS, one is left with no other option but to guess who has the sharper knife to come runner-up. My guess is KINGS GAMBIT.

8) RIZZ won well on debut over 6 furlongs at Bangalore in a smart timing. It then came up against the unbeaten IRON MIRAGE over 7 furlongs and didn't do too badly. When it first ran at Pune, it's body weight had gone up by 21kgs but yet ran on board to STORM MAJESTY. Should strip fitter and earn a bracket. 

9) This is a no whip race and tactically it makes sense to engage a 5kg apprentice, which is exactly what they are doing for ASHWA ANKARA. Fun fact : ASHWA ANKARA has won 3 times in its career and all over 7 furlongs. In race no.28 ( 10-8-24 , Pune ) over 7 furlongs it came 5th and within 5 lengths of the winner- ZUCCARO !!!
