1) MYSTIC DEW ran a good third over 7 furlongs to YARRA YARRA (A place proposition in the derby) and in a class IV handicap ran well enough over the mile trip. So no issues with the distance. Had a feel of the Mysore track and running over the mile on demotion, carrying 62.5kgs. Jockey YS SRINATH should make light work of the handicap and the opposition. The only question that remains is whether the odds will be better than evens.

2) In race no 196 ( 24-2-24, Chennai races ) DEAR LADY beat TRUTH IN WINE over 7 furlongs in a time of 1.25s and change, which is a pretty good time for Chennai. Strangely enough they meet again more than 2 years later over the same trip and TRUTH IN WINE might just turn the tables.

3) Looks like a jigsaw puzzle that becomes clear after the race.

4) GLORIOUS STRIDES looks more like a 7 furlong specialist and UNFORGETTABLE STAR although having the services of AKSHAY KUMAR at the bottom of the scales, tends to dally at the back of the field. This should benefit SASSY who nearly had the measure of SASSY SARAH, last time out when it tried to make every post a winning one.

5) When a horse comes out of a years hibernation and then wins in class I without the benefit of a mock race, it will most likely win again. MASATO is the case in point. Running over 7 furlongs, one would say is the preferred trip. Choice of jockey is a bit iffy, but what can you say. It's a betting game and one has to stretch the rupee by maximizing the odds.

6) TIPPED OFF ran a good 3rd to SHRISHTI on debut over the mile in a smart time. Might not have liked the going at Hyderabad in its subsequent run. Anyways it is the best performed horse over the trip and is tipped to win.

7) LORDS GRACE completed the hat-trick last week and is running in class III company. The higher class and the quick return to racing might pose a stiff challenge to make it 4 in a row. Nothing wrong in fishing for an upset and SMILES OF FORTUNE who has come down from class II, fits the bill. Ran an easy 4th to PILOT OFFICER and choice of allowance jockey LAVE KUMAR suggests something is stirring.
