Terrible day. All the books and websites tip horses whom we expect to open favorite and they open 5/1 or 6/1. And suddenly money comes to a horse without form and wins easily. That's the reason I like centres like Pune and Bangalore. You can predict the horses even before the odds open. 

Anyways, I had a bad day. But few of you really got some good winners. Congratulations to all of u who cracked today's card.

Fine, bookies are not operating, but how about the Tote? This is what exactly I wish to know.

Such disagreements between the bookies and the government do happen in other centres also, but in such an.eventuality Totes work and offcourse is still conducted.

Is BTC not offering Tote betting also?

1. WINNING ATTITUDE (7)  is the form horse likely to run her usual honest race and hit the frame. GREAT GIVER (5) The shoe change from steel to aluminium is a deliberate speed-sharpening move, combined with blinkers and a drop to 1100m. The trainer is clearly trying to steal this race on the front end. 

2. GACCHANMANASVIN (4) is the safest option given consistent frame-hitting form. Gets 1400M for the first time but breeding suggests stamina. Strong each-way chance.

3. POWER OF THE SEA (5) looks the most solid proposition. He has a win over this trip, comes off a decent effort, and P Trevor is a notable booking. DHANADEEPA (7) He's a horse who can sneak into the placings on his day. The lightweight helps, and if the pace collapses, he could run on into 3rd or better. 

4. KINSHIP (5) Her last two runs show a clear upward curve — 5th, then 3rd, both times finishing strongly after being held up. Step up to 1600m She's been finishing well over 1400m, suggesting the extra 200m could suit. Low weight a big advantage in a handicap. 

5. This is a competitive handicap. CATCH THE WORM (10) is the most progressive horse in the field, gets in with the lightest weight, winning form and looks the one to beat despite the class rise. KNIGHT CRUSADER (2) also ultra - consistent has the strongest recent form lines against the majority of this field. Will be finishing strongly. 

6. VEDANTA (4) is a front-running type who showed her best when allowed to dictate over 1200m two starts back. That run was in Class 5 company and she was only collared in the final 100m – the drop back to 1200m and this grade is significant. If she gets an easy lead, she could steal this. EXCLUSIVE LUCK (2) could place at odds.

Hi Friends,

Can any one help me to know if Tote bettings are going on in Bangalore now or there is totally no offcourse (intervenue) betting at BTC? I am in Hosur now and want to be in Bangalore for today's handy six-race card?

1) CALABASAS in its last run was rated 46. To be eligible to run in the lower class, it needed to shed 1 rating point. Inspite of the jockey's antics, it finished within 7 lengths of the winner POLE STAR, but mission accomplished and rating was lowered to 45. CALABASAS was a good sprinting type when it was under the tutelage of the late trainer LD SILVA. Change of shoes from steel to aluminum and a 5kg apprentice to lower the weight carried should see it through and start a trend of trainer PRASAD RAJU winning the first race of the day? The presence of TREVOR PATEL should boost the odds of CALABASAS somewhat. 

2) TWILIGHT KING inspite of just being out on an airing at Bangalore, finished within 5 lengths of the 2nd last horse SHRISHTI. Ran an impressive 4th ADVAIT over 6 furlongs with blinkers on. Trainer changed the blinkers to pacifier blinkers over the next two runs and in its last run, finished within 7 lengths of ASHWA JAFFNA. The switch to blinkers suggests the trainer means business and should score over the odds on CHAMPION REEF, and thereby help get rid of the bad taste left lingering in the trainer's mouth since the derby day debacle. 

3) The Bangalore record of POWER OF THE SEA, suggests that it carries to too much power and is likely to blow the fuse of the opponents. 

4) ASHWA JAFFNA may find the weight a stopper over the mile trip. LOVE IN PARIS could start as the favorite but it is still giving 6kgs to KINSHIP who has been running some game races. The spillover effect of the trainer's blitzkrieg on Derby day should suffice to propel KINSHIP to the winner's enclosure. 

5) On Derby day, trainer D NETTO pulled a fast one on STAR OF OPERA with AYUSHMAN,  but if RAGNAROK were to win, you couldn't accuse the trainer of the same, because it is the better sprinter and DECOY is best over 7 furlongs. RAGNAROK could make it wire to wire. 

6) ICONIC STAR was baulked of a clear run at a crucial juncture when AOS SI won. Jockey RAFIQUE SK gets back the ride and is capable of a punishing ride if the money is talking. 

Lay and play bets of the day. 

1) Lay no. 3 Starlight Dancer. There are couple of dark horses who can spoil the chances of 3. I don't wanna guess who will be on job and who not so I would just lay this horse if it opens below 2/1. Hope money comes on it seeing Trevor. Eat it. 

2) I will skip it. Favorite no. 1 will be short price and unless it shows improvement in a race by not running green and hanging I can't take chance playing it. And I can't even lay seeing how well it's bred. All I know if it doesn't hang and doesn't run too keen initially then it can win this weak race. But with ifs and buts not worth playing in such low odds and taking risk. Rest it's your wish u can lay or play. I may play No. 5 Khamagani place if it looks fit in the paddock. Last time it was looking dull and ran poor. But that's totally after paddock decision hence I ain't giving it as my choice. 

3) play no. 11 Sha'Carri place. Looks good. Can win also. After a slowish start in it's first race covered good ground in last 200 mt to finish close 4th and this extra distance will suit. Hope it doesn't open favorite. 20% win and 80% place investment should be ideal.

4) Play no. 5 Kinship Place. Just 2 place available and no. 2 will be hot favorite. So we should get good place odds. Horse should be in the top 2 position. Play place good.

5) Lay no. 4 or 5 whoever opens favorite. Eat it. Both Trevor and Akshay horses will attract money. Whichever is favorite lay it. This race is very competitive and will be touch and go in the finish. Just lay the favorite and enjoy a super fast race. at least 3 horses will be finishing close unless 1 horse stands out and wins easily. If 4 and 5 both above 2/1 then skip.

6) Play no. 11 Iconic star place good. Can win also. I will play just place even if it's 60-70 paisa.
