Racing Incidents
Trainer M. K. Jadhav and Jockey R. P. Cleary were questioned regarding the running and riding of ASTON MARTIN. Jockey was instructed in to be in 2nd or 3rd position. It was observed that soon after the start ASTON MARTIN had jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and thereafter lugged-in and was reluctant to show progress. Shortly afterwards, SAFFRON (Y. S. Srinath) shifted in as the filly shied away due to the proximity of ALOHAMORA (Samuel Fargeat) who came along side SAFFRON, as a result the gap available to ASTON MARTIN (R. P. Cleary) was closed by SAFRON and the gelding was checked. On further questioning, Jockey R.P.Cleary stated that the horse did not respond well in the straight to which trainer also concurred. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that no abnormality was detected. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to remedial measures before next accepting to race gelding.
