Trainer Mr. Ifran Ghatala was fined Rs.2,000/- for declaring Jockey Suraj Narredu without ascertaining the availability of the rider concerned who had already accepted to ride DUKE OF EDINBURGH in the above race. Subsequently he declared Jockey B. Prakash to ride his charge. In a tightly packed field, PARTY TONITE (B. Prakash) which was fiercely galloping behind DUKE OF EDINBURGH (Suraj Narredu) had to be checked by its rider and move out to avoid striking the front runner and in the process it inconvenienced REDSHIFT (Vivek) on the outside approaching the 1000 Metres.
