Racing Incidents

Near 300 metres, ILLUSTRIOUS (N.G.McCullagh) lugged in and inconvenienced SUN ELEGANCE (Amyn Merchant). Since ILLUSTRIOUS was reported having broken a blood vessel no action has been initiated. After the race, ILLUSTRIOUS and SERENITY were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

Taking an overall view of breach of Medication Rules in respect of dk b Eloise and this being Tr.P.Shroff’s first infringement of the Medication Rules, the Stewards decided as under :

a) to suspend his Trainers license for a period of 30 days (5th September, 2011 to 4th October, 2011)
b) to fine him a sum of Rs.10,000/-.
