Racing Incidents
At the start, MARIA TERESA (S.Zervan, dr.2) jumped inwards and hampered the running of CLAIM TO FAME (S.Sunil, dr.1) due to which the latter could not be ridden to Instructions which were to be in forward position. Passing 400 metres, the hind legs of ROYAL HUNTER (Amyn Merchant) gave way and the gelding fell dislodging its Rider. The gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. and found to have broken his right hind leg and had severe bleeding from the left nostril. The gelding was euthanized on humane grounds.
