As Jockey Khurshad Alam was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Britto to substitute Jockey S. Mallikarjun to ride SHADES OF SCARLET in place of the declared rider. KROREPATI (S. Guruprasad) accidentally struck the front runner DELTA DELIGHT (A. Ashok Kumar) and stumbled approaching the 800 Metres whereby the rider lost both the stirrups which he regained approaching the 600 Metres.
