Racing Incidents

Trainer Vinayak and Jockey R.Shelar were questioned with regard to the running riding of STARLIGHT MAGIC. The Instructions were to take a good jump, be well up and to do his best, which were confirmed by the Jockey. It was put to them that Jockey R.Shelar was not alert at start due to which the horse took a slow start in a 1000 metres race and then there was no effort on his part to sit well up as instructed. Also, the Jockey was found wanting in his riding effort in the straight. Trainer Vinayak expressed his dissatisfaction with the Jockey’s riding. An Enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of STARLIGHT MAGIC and a report will be submitted shortly.

After the race PRINCESS KHATOUM was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, BEEMER was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race STARLIGHT MAGIC was found to be sound.
