Jockey J Chinoy, the rider of REBECCA, was reprimanded for shifting ‘out’ and inconveniencing AMAZER (S Chandrashekar) on his outside, approaching the 250 Metres.

It was reported after the Race that HONEY BUZZARD (Valdir De Sousa) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Z Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Valdir De Sousa, the rider of HONEY BUZZARD to the Stewards for dangerous riding [Rule No.161(i)] of the BTC Rules of Racing, in that, he shifted ‘in’ and caused very severe interference to NISHI GIRL (Nassar Alam), which stumbled and further went in and caused interference to SPIRITUALITY (Saddam Hussain), on his inside, approaching the 1200 Metres, and ABSOLUTE REALITY (S R Santosh Kumar),  ICE WEAPON (Shiva Kumar), which were travelling behind, also had to be checked by their respective riders, and again, he shifted in and caused interference to BUCETHALIS (G Y Rajesh Babu) on his inside, approaching the 1000 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockey Valdir De Sousa. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey’s Licence granted to Jockey Valdir De Sousa from 27-01-2013 to 09-02-2013 (both days inclusive) for careless riding [Rule No.161 (i)] under BTC Rules of Racing on his mount, HONEY BUZZARD, in the above Race [permitted to ride work].

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g HURRICANE BAY.
