Permission was granted to trainer Mr. M. Narredu to withdraw THE GENERAL (Suraj Narredu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SPREADEAGLE, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering straight and he had considerable difficulty to bring it wide outside for a clear run in the final 100 Metres of the race.

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of ACEEMPRESSJESSIE reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported other than a cut injury on the right fore fetlock.

Jockey P. Trevor and Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar were questioned as to the reason SPREADEAGLE was ridden from the rear of the field today as opposed to the gelding's previous start on 7-6-2014 when he was on the pace. Mr. Mangalorkar said that he was disappointed as SPREADEAGLE did not finish the race off last time then when it drew 9 in todays even he felt that riding the horse from behind may suit over the 1800 Metres. Jockey Trevor added that his mount was hanging 'in' in the straight and he had some difficulty in extracting SPREAD EAGLE to the outside to gain a clear passage. Mr. Mangalorkar said that this is the gelding's 4th start and he will instruct his riders to ride in a similar manner in future.
