MODUS VIVENDI (Nelson Maseyk) was fractious while being stalled. ROMANCER (Sandeep Rajput) was fractious in its stall. IL BRONZINO (Arman Khan) fly jumped from the gates. Approaching the 300 metre marker SKYWAY (N S Parmar) travelling along the rails shied away violently ‘outwards’ and made contact with TREASURE ISLAND (App Md Azharuddin) whose rider got momentarily unbalanced. Jockey N S Parmar (SKYWAY) unsure of what exactly was the reason for his mount to behave in such a manner eased his mount and did not ride the mare to complete advantage thereafter. In this incident IL BRONZINO (Arman Khan) travelling behind TREASURE ISLAND was momentarily checked by its rider to take an evasive action. On its return to the unsaddling enclosure SKYWAY was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be trotting sound. App Md. Azharuddin, the rider of TREASURE ISLAND, reported the loss of his whip passing the 300 metres. At an enquiry held by the Stewards after the last race into the running of ch m MODUS VIVENDI, Jockey Nelson Maseyk when interviewed stated that :- a) The trainer had given him no specific instructions other than to do his best. b) The same instructions were also given to him in the mare’s previous run in Race. No. 128 of the ensuring season. c) He was surprised at the improved performance of the mare as compared to its previous run. When queried as to why there was a difference in the running pattern of the mare between this race and its previous race, Mr. Maseyk stated that :- a) The mare was slow to begin in Race No. 128 and, therefore, he was unable to work his way to a forward position due to the 11 runners ahead of him during the early and middle stages of the race. Trainer Mr. Vikash Jaiswal when interviewed corroborated the jockey’s statement regarding his instructions and further stated that :- a) He did not expect his charge to win or to run such an improved race especially after its dismal performance in its previous run i.e., Race No. 128. b) He had no explanation for the improved performance of the mare, however, was of the opinion that the other competitors in the race did not have strong credentials to win. c) The stable fancied the other stable runner namely ROMANCER to win this race.
When queried as to the change in the pattern of running of the mare between Race No. 128 and today’s race, he
The Stewards not being satisfied with the explaination of the trainer regarding the performance of his charge a) The Stipendiary Stewards report on Race No. 34 of the current season i.e., Mr. Vikash Jaiswal when questioned to explain the improved performance of his charge EGO EGO EGO ………. “The Stipendiary Stewards while noting his explanation informed Tr. Vikash Jaiswal that it has been recorded on occasions that his charges had made vast improvements as compared to their previous runs and should he fail in his responsibility to ensure that his charges run wi th a degree of consistency, he would be reported to the Stewards for ‘in’ and ‘out’ running of his charges ”. b) The Stipendiary Stewards report on Race No. 142 of the current season - “Fine Tr. Vikash Jaiswal a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for the unsatisfactory running of his charge HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE”. decided to fine Tr. Vikash Jaiswal a sum of Rs. 25,000/- and suspend his trainer’s license from Saturday, 7th February to Tuesday, 24th February, 2015 (both days inclusive) for the reversal of form and the inconsistent running pattern of his charge MODUS VIVENDI. Mr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed of his right to appeal. |
