As Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the declared rider of CAPRI, was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi to substitute Jockey M Prabhakaran to ride CAPRI in place of the declared rider.

Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of MR CARPE, reported that his mount was hanging 'out' throughout the Race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but, no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of UNGOOGLEABLE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Race [first infringement].

Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of PRECIOUS REPLICA, placed Fourth by the Judge, lodged objections against Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of UNGOOGLEABLE, placed First by the Judge, and also, against Jockey M Prabhakaran, the rider of CAPRI, placed Second by the Judge, for “ (a) inside the last 100 Metres, Arshad Alam, on the winner, came out suddenly and bumped me, thereby, I had to check my mount, and (b) while I was recovering ground, CAPRI came in badly from the outside and hampered my run”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After due deliberations, they decided to overrule the objections.

An enquiry is being held into the manner of riding of Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of UNGOOGLEABLE, trained by Mr. G Sandhu, in the above Race.

SHREWD MASTER (P Trevor) sustained small cut on left hind inside fetlock.
