Racing Incidents

Trainer Sharat Kumar reported that SMILE STONE had a fall on the way to the Saddling Enclosure. The gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. in the Saddling Enclosure before the race and was found to be sore by the right fore leg. As such, SMILE STONE was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.  
 
RULE DOWNUNDER (T. S. Jodha) jumped out slow, losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
 
Passing 700 metres, BRYNHILL (C. S. Jodha) shifted in thereby tightening STRATEGIC MOVE (P. S. Chouhan) along the rails.
 
Jockey C. S. Jodha (BRYNHILL) was observed to have lost his whip In the final stages of the race. This being the second occasion of him losing the whip during the current Pune Meeting, he has been fined Rs 2,000/-.
 
After the race, ADAM was observed to have lost its left fore plate.
