Permission was granted to Trainer H A Khan to substitute Jockey V R Jagdeesh to ride MISS LEE in place of Jockey S Mosin the declared rider.
After the horses being loaded into the individual gates a handler jumped over to hold the horse from where the battery and lever are placed wherein he accidently touched the lever and the gates got opened wherein few horses bolted out of that GO GET THEM (Ranjeet Singh) & JINGLE DINGLE (Dhanu Singh Deora) bolted riderless and completed the course. With the consent of Trainers Sartaj Singh & I S Parmar the horses were withdrawn before coming under starter’s order. It was also observed that the mechanics of the barriers were in no way defective.
SARAGON (M B Qureshi) which was loaded after the premature start was very fractious inside the staring stall wherein it was removed and examined by the Club’s Veterinary Officer who certified it was lame on left hind as such it was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer I S Parmar was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.
Trainer Rajkumar Saini and Jockey Rajinder Saini were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of MAJESTIC MOVEMENT. The trainer stated:-
1) That his charge opened as a favourite and it was loaded in the first four in the starting gate and subsequently there was a false start.
2) The field was called back and again the Starter loaded his charge in the first four whereby his charge was very nervous and was in the gates for quite some time, when the start was given it jumped out lethargically.
3) He had instructed the jockey to position in front bunch and do his best on entering the straight.
4) That he is quite unhappy with the loading of his charge on both the times, it was loaded early and that too being a favourite, if not for the delay in the starting gate his charge would have won the race.
5) Under the circumstances he is quite satisfied with the riding of the jockey.
On questioning Jockey Rajinder Saini stated as under:-
i) That his mount was favourite and when he reached the starting gate it was loaded in the first four, due to a false start his mount jumped out, but he held on to his mount till the front screen.
ii) Again when his mount was reloaded in the first four his mount got substantially relaxed as the process of loading of other horses was delayed and it jumped out slowly from the starting gate. He was instructed to position be in the front bunch and do his best on entering the straight and win the race.
iii) He had ridden to the instruction imparted by the trainer and if not for the delay in the starting gate he would have won the race.
An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of MAJESTIC MOVEMENT.
Jockey G S Shekhawat the rider of ARFA was reprimanded for checking his mount approaching the 700 mts for no apparent reason.
Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner UDAAN in the presence of Trainer Ajay Sharma and was sent for analytical test.
