Jockey Mohd Habeeb the rider of DARJEELING reported that as the start was effected his mount jumped out into the running of AMAZING BOLT( R Rakesh) , whereby he immediately corrected it.

Trainer Magan Singh and Jockey Dhanu Singh Deora were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of GOLDEN GUINEA. The Trainer stated that :-

i)    He had instructed the jockey if possible  lead or position 2nd  and do his best on entering the straight.
ii)    In the last 200 mts when the jockey used the whip on the right it drifted out under pressure wherein the jockey immediately corrected it.
iii)    He further stated that his charge has a high galloping action and still a maiden.
iv)     He is quite satisfied with the running of his charge and the riding of Jockey Dhanu Singh Deora.
v)      It had gone for decent track work but nothing outstanding.
vi)      In the last season it had placed 2nd once which is its best performance.
vii)      He is quite shocked that his charge opened as a favourite without any credible performance that too in its first run for the season.

On questioning Jockey Dhanu Singh stated that his mount performed well but when put under pressure it drifted out wherein he immediately corrected. Their explanations were noted.

Trainer Magan Singh was informed to improve the behavior of his charge GOLDEN GUINEA while going to the starting gate.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner BLACK PEPPER in the presence of Trainer Rajinder  and was sent for analytical test.
