Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath to substitute Jockey S R Santosh Kumar to ride SPINNING CHAKRAM in place of Jockey Ramandeep S Bal, the declared rider.
Trainer Mr. S Santosh Rao was fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge, CHICAGO (Khurshad Alam); Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.
COUNTRY'S CROWN (Vijay Kumar) was examined at the Gates and observed to be trotting lame on right fore; Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Order; Trainer Mr. Prashanth Pawar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
PLATINUM PEARL (R N Darshan) slipped from behind, thereby, losing some ground, at the start.
SECRET TOUCH (K Sai Kiran) jumped awkwardly 'outwards', thereby, inconveniencing JUST BY CHANCE (R Rayan Ahmed) on its outside, at the start.
Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde and Jockey R N Darshan were questioned as to the running and riding of PLATINUM PEARL, in the above Race. Jockey R N Darshan stated as follows; a) His mount slipped from behind, at the start, totally unbalancing him; b) Thereafter, he did not get any room to improve his position and passing 1000 Metres, he had to check his mount to avoid striking the front runner, SPINNING CHAKRAM (S R Santosh Kumar); c) Thereafter he gradually improved his position along the Rails; d) After entering the Straight along the Rails, he shifted his mount out as there was a wall of horses in front of him and ran on from there to finish third. The Trainer, Mr. Ranjeet Shinde corroborated the statements of Jockey R N Darshan and added that in the circumstances explained he could not take exception to the riding of the Jockey. Their explanations were noted for future references.
Trainer Mr C D Monnappa was questioned as to the relative performance of his charge FLASH TIME (Arshad Alam), the winner of this Race as compared to its previous run in Race No. 79 of the First Extra Day of the Mysore Winter Races 2018-19, i.e., The Kandla Plate – Div II, (About) 1400 Metres for horses rated 20 to 45, 6 years old and over run on Thursday, 31st January, 2019, when ridden by Jockey R N Darshan, it ran unplaced. The Trainer stated as follows; a) In its previous run, he had instructed the rider to go to the front, but his charge was badly hemmed up along the rails throughout the race; b) After entering the Straight, he again did not get room along the rails, passing the 400 Metres and the rider had to pull it out and ride out; c) Despite all that, his charge came out and finished a close 7th; d) In this run also he had instructed his rider to go to the front, the rider settled it in 2nd position and came into the straight and rode it out; e) The horse won well though he had not fancied its chances in this Race. His explanations were noted.
