Racing Incidents

At the request of Tr. Sarfaraz Khan, b m MOIRA a declared starter in the race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer at 2.15 P.M. and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the mare was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Sarfaraz Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

SCORPION QUEEN (App Rupal Singh) was slow to begin.

COCOANUT (Rajendra Singh) which was fractious in its stall reared up as the start was given thereby losing considerable ground.

Jockey C Alford, the rider of GLORIOUS LEAPS, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running/riding of his mount stated that he was instructed to place his mount in 3rd/4th position and to do his best. However, he was unable to position his mount as instructed due to lack of speed of the horse and thereafter in spite of his best efforts the horse did no response adequately to his urgings throughout the race. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanations.

App Sujit Kr. Paswan, the rider of THE LAST JUDGMENT, was fined a sum of Rs. 3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip (1st infringement).
