CHECKMATE (M Rajesh Kumar) was extremely fractious and refused to remain inside the Starting Stalls. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's Order.

Jockey Azfar Syeed, the rider of MINT, placed Third by the Judge, lodged an objection against Jockey H M Akshay, the rider of NIKKA, placed First by the Judge, for 'in the last 150 metres the winner came and took me out and bumped me due to which I lost a certain race'; The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned; After deliberations, they decided to uphold the objection and revised the order of placing as under:

Trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav was questioned by the Stipendiary Stewards, in particular reference to his charge NIKKA drifting out alarmingly in the Straight, thereby hampering the run of MINT (Azfar Syeed). Trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav informed them that his charge has a habit of drifting out in the last 150 Metres or so. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to have old ulcers inside left oral commissure. Trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

LORD IISLEY (S Manohar) sustained bruises on both hind plantar fetlock.
