ASHWA SABIRA, ASHWA ROZARA and ASHWA HAITHER were withdrawn on compassionate grounds.

HARE KA SAHARA (K Narendra Kumar) was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Orders as the Jockey was indisposed at the Starting Gates.

At the start, MIDLEXESS (N.Tauseef Ahmed) and DHATOORA (Rajinder Saini) were slowly away.

Jockey R Rakesh (VICTORIOUS KING) was questioned in respect of his riding in the straight. The Instructions were to be 6th or 7th and to ride hands and heels in the straight and not to use the whip but he still used it on a couple of occasions. He did not ask the Trainer as to why he should not use the whip. He was informed that that if in future the horse wins under the use of the whip, then there would be a separate enquiry on this very statement, to which the Jockey responded in affirmation. The Jockey was informed that his riding was very feeble in the
 
straight and that the horse had carried him to the Post and the horse could have finished better than 4th position, if he was vigorous enough, considering the short verdict between horses ahead of him and he did not finish the race rather dropped his hands and the horse had responded well in the last 150 metres or so. The Jockey stated that the horse had won 1200 metres. The race was viewed.

Not being satisfied with the Jockey’s explanation, he has been fined Rs.5,000/- for failing to persevere with his mount.
