As Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh was certified medically unfit to ride. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to declare Jockey Salman Khan to ride FIREFINCH in place of the declared rider.

Jockey R. Ajinkya, the rider of STRIKING FORTUNE reported that his mount stumbled soon after the start.
