Racing Incidents
ADONIS (Bhawani Singh, dr.14) threw its head up at the start. Soon after the start, MENJOU’S MOUSTACHE (App. Ramswarup) shifted in and went across ANANYA (S. J. Sunil), IMPULSIVE (App. Bharat Singh) and FLASHMAN (Antony Raj S.) thereafter MENJOU’S MOUSTACHE further shifted in onto ARBITRAGE (App. Haridas Gore) who in turn leaned in onto LIGHTNING BLAZE (A. Prakash) thereby tightening and inconveniencing MOMENT OF MADNESS (App. Avinash Paswan) causing the latter to check and change course who went onto UNTITLED (App. Ritesh Gochhi). After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Ramswarup has been fined Rs.2,000/-. Passing the 500 metres, SUPERLUMINAL (R. Shelar) lost its footing, broke down and dislodged its rider, the filly was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be recumbent with broken left fore radius bone with open fracture which was not repairable. As such, with the due consent of Trainer Ivor Fernandes the filly was euthanized on humanitarian grounds. After the race, IMPULSIVE was observed to have an injury on its right hind fetlock. RE: CONFIRMATORY ANALYSIS REPORT IN RESPECT OF B. G. “FLASHMAN” (WINNER) IN RACE NO.126 – THE VINAYAK SALVER - RUN ON 12TH OCTOBER 2025: The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 28th December 2025 interviewed Trainer Bezan Chenoy regarding the Confirmatory Analysis Report dated 25th December 2025 from Laboratory of Racing Chemistry, Japan, in respect of the sample of blood taken from his charge FLASHMAN (Winner) in Race No.126 – The Vinayak Salver run on 12th October 2025, which read as under:- Test Result “POSITIVE FOR LAMOTRIGINE”. A copy of the above report was handed over to him and he was asked to continue his own enquiries and to lead evidence, if any, to prove mitigating circumstances, within 15 days and to also attend the enquiry to be held by the Stipendiary Stewards and the Sr. Veterinary Officer of the Club, as and when he would be required to. Further, as per the Medication Rules, the Stewards of the Club decided to disqualify FLASHMAN (Winner) in Race No.126 – The Vinayak Salver run on 12th October 2025 and revised the order of placing of the race as under:-. SAMSON- FIRST WE STILL BELIEVE - SECOND ARBITRAGE - THIRD MENJOU'S MOUSTACHE - FOURTH RED MIST - FIFTH
