Racing Incidents

BRASILIER (P. S. Kaviraj, dr.3) refused to be stalled, despite substantial efforts. As such, the colt was permitted to be withdrawn, before coming under the Starter’s order and Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race
 
At the start, VIKING (Akshay Kumar, dr.7) jumped out brushing the gates and had to be steadied.
 
Passing the 300 metres, HARRISON (T. S. Jodha) shifted out thereby carrying LITTLE JOHN (P. Trevor) outwards. Jockey T. S. Jodha has been cautioned.
 
Soon after the start, GIANT GOLD (App. Ramswarup) shifted in thereby tightening HARRISON (T. S. Jodha) causing the latter to be steadied. App. Ramswarup has been cautioned.
 
HARRISON (T. S. Jodha) was observed to be inclined outwards in the straight, despite the rider’s efforts. After the race, the gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and found to be sore by right fore. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, the V.O. reported the following:
 
EKATARINA was trotted and found to be sound.
 
GIANT GOLD was observed to have a gum injury.
 
RENOIR was observed to have lost its right fore shoe.
