Racing Incidents

On being questioned, Trainer Zulfiqar Khan stated that he had instructed his jockey to go to front if comfortable otherwise sit 2nd/3rdand do his best in the straight. He also stated that the jockey could have easily gone to the front but his efforts were constrained. Jockey Angad (TOMORROWS DREAMS) confirmed the instructions but had no plausible explanation for failing to improve his position inearly part of the race. Not being satisfied with his explanation he was fined Rs. 15,000/-for not following Trainer’s instruction wherein he failed to improve his position inearly part of the race.

After the race, ASHWA KUTANG was found to be lame by its right hindleg. Trainer S. Nawabhas been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to his charge being presented for any future trial or race.

Veterinary examination of TOMORROWS DREAMSrevealed no apparent abnormality.
