Racing Incidents

At the start, ASHWA KANGTO (G S Shekhawat) was slowly away.

Jockey Jai Prakash (RINKU ROMEO) was fined Rs. 5,000/-for not persevering with his mount in the race.

Jockey G. S. Shekhawat (ASHWA KANGTO) was severely reprimanded for feeble riding.

An objection was lodged by Jockey R. Rakesh (ROBUST) placed 2ndby the judge against Apprentice Vishal Shivhare (ASHWA SIMRAN) placed 1stbythe judge “for giving hima check near 400 meters and again shifting OUT taking hisground at about 50 meters, due to which his mount who was in full gallop, broke its stride and he had to stop a bit and was not able to whip on mount and that cost him a certain race.

The Stewards interviewed the jockey concerned and having heardsubmission made by the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their own judgement of the race the Stewards decided to overrule the objection.

After the race, BEEJAYwas observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not fit to race for a stipulated period of 4 weeks. Trainer Zulfiqar Khanhas been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to his charge being presented for any future trial or race.
