Explanation of Jockey A Sandesh (PYRITE) that his instructions were to sit close 2nd/3rd but due to slow initial pace, he found himself in front and in the straight his mount did not raise a winning gallop inspite of best efforts was confirmed by Trainer S. Waheed was noted for future reference.

Explanation of Jockey B R Kumar (STAR OF NIGHT) in the presence of Trainer R H Sequeira that his instructions were to sit in mid bunch and make his move from outside in the straight but as he found a gap on the rails, he opted to make his move from inside but as the gap was closed, he was forced to check and make his move from outside was not accepted and the Jockey was fined Rs.5000/- for riding his mount in contrary to the given instructions.
