IRON CLAD (N. Ramesh Kumar) jumped out awkwardly at the Start.

Jockey M.S. Deora, the rider of TOM CRUISER was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Trainer Mr. B Suresh and Jockey Aleemuddin were questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of CROWN DRIVE in the above race.

The trainer stated as follows:-

1.    He had instructed his rider to ride from 2nd / 3rd position and do his best in the straight;
2.    He added that Jockey rode as per his instructions, however he felt that his charge performed poorly as it was carrying top weight.

Jockey Aleemuddin corroborated the statements of trainer Mr. B Suresh and added that his mount was very keen in the first 200 Metres and thereafter, stumbled after entering the Straight, nearing the 400 Metres. Their explanations were noted for future reference.
