At the start, DARCY (App. Ankush, dr.4) jumped and carried CELLINI (N. S. Parmar, dr.5) outwards.

Approaching the 1000 metres, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (App. Ramswarup) shifted in and went across YOUR UNFORGETTABLE (Suraj Narredu) causing the latter to check and change course.

Approaching the 800 metres, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (App. Ramswarup) shifted out thereby bumping and tightening YOUR UNFORGETTABLE (Suraj Narredu) for room.

Since Jockey Suraj Narredu had  weighed in, As such, Mr  P. S. Chouhan, Trainer of YOUR UNFORGETTABLE ridden by Jockey Suraj Narredu (placed 3rd by the Judge), lodged an objection before the ALL CLEAR signal was given against  App. Ramswarup rider of CHALLENGE ACCEPTED placed 2nd by the Judge. The reason being “after 150 metres of the jump CHALLENGE ACCEPTED shifted in and took his horses ground, his rider had to slow down the horse and thereafter at 800 metres shifted out and bumped that had unbalanced his horse that caused him a 2nd place”.

After considering the submissions made by Trainer P. S. Chouhan, Jockey Suraj Narredu, App. Ramswarup and his Master Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the Video Recording of the Race from multiple angles and acting on their own observations of the Race, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing as under:

DARCY      FIRST;            WIND DANCER      FOURTH;

YOUR UNFORGETTABLE   SECOND;       MERLET             FIFTH;

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED    THIRD;

In view of above, the Stewards of the Club held App. Ramswarup guilty of Careless riding on his mount, in the absence of a quorum after the last race, the matter has been reported to the Stewards of the Club for such action as they deem fit.

After the race, the Sr. Veterinary Officer reported the following:

CELLINI was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

MERLET was trotted and found to be sound.

DARCY was observed to have an injury on its left hind fetlock.
