FASCINATING (App Vikash Tamang) was slow to begin.

Soon after jumping out of the gates STATE HERITAGE (Asghar, drawn 5) was inconvenienced by JIVE (Imran Khan, drawn 4) which jumped awkwardly ‘outwards’. 

Jockey Asghar when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount b g STATE HERITAGE which trailed the field in the early stages and completed the course detached from field  could give no plausible explanation.  The gelding was impounded for veterinary examination and on immediate examination the Veterinary Officer reported that no ailment was noticed.  At a subsequent enquiry Jockey Asghar was shown the CCTV replay of the race and fined a sum of Rs. 2,500/- for failing to make any effort to improve his position during the early,  middle and final stages of the race and informed that should be ride in a similar manner in future, he would be reported to the Stewards for appropriate disciplinary action.

The veterinary Officer reported that JIVE and PYTHAGORAS returned bleeding from their both nostrils.  Trs. Shafiq Khan and Rutherford Alford were informed not to accept with their respective charges until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
