Tr. Vijay Singh and Jockey C Alford when afforded an opportunity to explain the running of b f ANASSA, the trainer stated that he had instructed the rider to place his mount in the 3^rd/4^th position in the early stages of the race and to do his best on entering the straight.  He further continued by stating that the filly when placed under pressure by the rider, drifted considerably‘outwards’ but for which his charge could have won the race.  Jockey C Alford corroborated the statements of the trainer.  The Stipendiary Stewards while noting their explanations strongly advised both the trainer and jockey to ensure that their horses are run and ridden in such manner that leaves no room for query.

Jockey Ranjeet Singh, the rider of ROME, reported that his mount was inclined to drift ‘out’ on entering the straight.
