STAND APART (C Alford) and TASVEER (B Srinivas Rao) were slow to begin.

An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of Jockey Shezad Khan, the rider of  SOKUDO some distance after the start.  At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that the fall was due to the snapping of the bit from the bridle used on the gelding and that no blame could be attached to any jockey, as such, the ‘All Clear’ signal was hoisted.  Subsequent examination revealed that the equipment was otherwise well maintained, as such, no further action was taken beyond noting the incident.  However, Tr. Bharath Singh was advised to ensure that a thorough examination be conducted on all equipment used by his stable for the purpose of racing.
