On the morning of Wednesday, 6 th August, 2014, ch g B ERLUSCONI, a declared starter in the above race, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. R W Alford was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.

RAZNANDAN (Sk Israil) and CHALA JA BACHHA (Imran Chisty) were fractious while being stalled.

Jockey B Mahesh when questioned regarding the running of his mount dk b g RIVER BLITZ which raced poorly stated that he was instructed to place the gelding in 4 th /5 th position in the early stages of the race and to do his best thereafter. However, on jumping out from the gates his mount was momentarily inconvenienced due to the crowding of the field and thereafter, in spite of his best efforts the gelding failed to respond to his urgings. His explanation was noted. The gelding was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination no ailment was noticed. Tr. Patrick Quinn was advised not to ac cept with his charge until it is capable of a better performance.

Jockey P Trevor, the rider of ASTAIRE, was fined a sum of Rs. 1,000/ - for excessive use of the whip (1 st offence). Jockey Md. Islam, the rider of SU CHALIYO, reported loss of his whip pass ing the distance post.
